Why is that?
I have access to some Invention BPC selling biz, and they ONLY sell MAXRUN-BPC for ship-invention. This also is backed up, by the T2-Invetion-Excel sheets, which all come to the conclusion that maxun BPC give you more profit compared with 1-run BPC jobs, when used in conjunction with a decryptor..

It depends on the ship, I wouldnt use max run on anything up to up to and including cruisers, its just not worth it in copy time alone for what you get out of it. But its thier lab slots so good luck to them.

"maxrun BPC give you more profit compared with 1-run BPC jobs" yes per job, but you can have 15-30 times as many jobs using 1-run bpc

Maybe there is a little mistake in the wiki about max run : I think that as for ship it isn't possible to rig T2 BPC up to one run without using a decryptor.
This is because the max run for a T2 rig in 10 as for ships.

I was under the impression that T2 ship invention would always result in a 1 run BPC without a decryptor - regardless of the T1 BPC used.
Anyone have some solid information on the difference between a max run and 1 run BPC used for t2 ship invention?

There is a formula around from Lord Fitz: Invention Output Runs = min(max( round down ( (Input BPC Runs / T1 Production Limit) * (T2 Production Limit / 10) + Decryptor Runs ), 1), T2 Production Limit)

;) Works for everything, even when CCP do funny things like change the T2 Production limit or the T1 Production Limit ;)

Just for kicks I experimented with a User Manual on a frigate. (yes yes a waste but that's what an experiment can be)
User Manual Chance 1.0 Runs +2 ME+1 PE+4
Using a frigate bpc at 1 run with a User Manual = a T2 frigate at runs 2 ME -3 PE 0 (That round down in the formula sucks! ) Using a frigate bpc at 30 runs with a User Manual = a T2 frigate at runs 3 ME -3 PE 0
Is it worth paying that extra 4-6M for the User Manual? Depends on the item you manufacture. Consider the costs of the copy since it will take about 1.5 DAYS to make just 1 copy at 30 runs to minutes to make 30 copies at 1 run.

It takes the same time to make 1x30 runs as it does to make 30x1 runs (actually you would have to do 20x1 and 10x1 since 20 is the max copies you can make at once). The copy time is per run. Obviously the value of the copy is always one of the factors in choosing to use a max run BPC or not.
