CCP Can you please answer my question having to do with being podded with implants prior to this patch. Will I get the benefit of the implants or will I need to replace them to get fast training if I pod myself before this patch? I have 3 accts. that I need to train battleship 5 and would like to know since I pvp in 0.0 with them.

How can you even need to ask this question? Of course you'll lose your implant bonus if you get podded. 0.o

Quote: # A change has been made to the client and server skill point gain calculations for rookie pilots below the 1.6 million skill point threshold. Skill point increase per minute is now based on the total skill points you will have after completing the skill, instead of your total skill points. This effectively means that skill point gain will be calculated properly when crossing a bonus boundary. This means that adding a skill, which has 756,000 skill points when you are on the threshold (i.e. 1,590.000), will not benefit from the double skill training bonus and will be trained at normal speed.

I stand corrected, slightly. I hadn't heard about the /bug/ that meant you didn't lose the bonus on getting podded currently. For the record: I'd HIGHLY recommend replacing your implants. That is definitely a bug, and it sounds like they have fixed it.

Yes but they give LESS than before. 10% range and 10% strength instead of 20% strength, and the range bonus try to compensate the range nerf of mods. So this is a nerf too, and it makes SDA more mandatory than before.
is there such thing as a sensor dampening amplifier ? a tracking disruptor amplifier ? a target painting amplifier ?

I know, I know ccp cant be seen to actually listen to what the players want - that would be a sign of weakness for them obviously , sorry my bad
CCP listens to its players more than any company Ive ever seen before and thats why I keep paying to play. EVERYBODY was saying "Fix the lag" so CCP got rid of things that caused lag. The cyno effect was one of those things. Unfortunatly nomatter what you do you will never make 100% of your customers happy.
I just recently got into the whole ewar thing so I am no expert but one of the things that got me started down that road was how powerful and over effective they were. I will still be my fleets EWAR guy but I will have to modify my fit and tactics to stay effective. not a huge deal.
They did do alot of cool stuff with blackops and stealth bombers that should make them far more capable ships so I am looking foreward to trying those out in the future. Overall I say keep up the good work CCP.

Dear CCP,
I'm glad that you are doing stuff to add/fix/etc content to make this "more interesting", blah blah blah.
What about the technical issues with the CTD's dealing with wide-screen monitors that many people have?
Thank you for your bugreport - ID:77378 Title: [_trinity+2afbd3] Bug Associated With Ship Fitting Screen We are already aware of this problem, and have added your bugreport to the existing issue in our defect tracking system.
What about all the other little technical issues that need resolution and make the game unplayable for some?
Thought I'd ask.

Oh and of course I think the falcon nerf with no real actual thought, and more knee-jerk overreaction to the whiners (who cant be bothered to fit the modules put into the game for just such an event when they can just whine to devs), marks an end to Caldari PvP outside of a Rokh pilot for larger engagements and possibly everything except small gang and ganks. My biggest question is, how are ECM supposed to reach the snipers without being blasted to hell? Even the devs know falcons get called primary in every fight, and that range was the only thing keeping them alive.
So lets review, Missiles nerfed, Shield resists nerfed, ECM nerfed. Next week maybe I can just cash in my SP and roll amarr as caldari gets removed completely from the game. Of course I expect a torrent of "Caldari tears are tastey" and "Whiner!!1one" etc but hey, thats just the way these things go, it doesn't actually count for anything lol.
So those few months of me training Caldari is just wasted now. All the other races have TWO forms of EW, amarr has Nueuts/vamps and tracking, Galente has Disruptors and damps and mimatar has webs and target painters while caldari only has the electronic warfare and range. So now it dosn't have the range. Also Caldari has more counters then any other race. FoF missiles, smart bombs vs. missiles, defender missiles, ECCM, drones ect. Nuets/vamps counter is cap boosters, nothing really to counter the tracking. Disruptors have WCSTABS but who uses them now besides highsec carebears, damps counter is sensor boosters. Webs counter is speed-mods and there is no counter for target painters (who even uses these besides caldari??) (Please please please change the belicose to webs)
I think to make all races fair they should switch damps to caldari and ew to gallente. (makes more sense for drone boats anyway) Also the crystals in amarr lasers should take longer than the 3sec that it is now, should be longer then the 10sec it is for everyone else since they don't have to reload. Make it like 15sec and that would be fair. Also I think they should slightly increase the range of rails and arties by 5%. But other that most of the changes are great

So why would you take implants out of a clone that increase training time and expect them to train just as fast. Grow up. Your question has already been answered by CCP in the patch notes. Please stop trying to compare all the recons or to justify a Falcon nerf on the grounds that all the others got nerfed/are useless (which is far from the case if you examine all theaters of combat, not just the one that suits your argument) no other race puts/put all its bonuses into 1 module and was therefore a 1 trick pony
This. Even if some ECM ships could use some balancing (and by "some" I mean only the falcon), most people forget Caldari ships rely only on ECM whereas every other race has 2 kinds of ewar - granted, none of them disable their target in the same fashion ECM does yes stop right here, you hit the nail on the head but complimentary systems often offset such disadvantage (neuts + tracking disruptors not only reduces offensive capabilities but also makes the overall "getting-rid-of-the-target-process" much faster hmm so you got the theory, now go neut that drake, cerb, LSE'd autcannon hurricane . . aw @#$% it; damps + points similarly reduce offensive capabilities and cut escape routs / some of targets' mobility uh yeah, 3 damps might reduce the targeting range below threat level of one enemy ship much like you need to devote 3 racials to remove the threat from a single target right, oh and while you've been flying within 40km of the enemy blob, right; webs + painters ensure the target is hit my most of what's thrown at it yes, it is very necessary to 60% web and paint a buffer-tanked BS on a gate, and of course that 60% web will prevent everything else from escaping back through the gate because 60% webs are real effective now).
You clearly have experience flying all the recons, as I do. We're of couse not still waiting for the buffs up from the 5% bonuses on tps for the Bellicose class, and 5% damps on the Celestis class, while your ECM recons are not now receiving your second buff on ecm strength after the long ago ecm nerf. You see 30% bonuses on a module for pretty much every ship, nothing new here. Also, you see neuts are instantaneous cap out, it's not like larger ships will often fit a cap injector and smaller ships sometimes a nos to cycle within your neuting. And, MWD's still leave a ship dead in the water once they are 60% webbed and it's certainly not cheaper to fly an inty with a 30km point instead of a 90+ mil recon with a 40km point
Surely, we needed and ECM review - BECAUSE OF FALCON - but the one we got seems a little too heavyhanded. It started out maybe that way, but never fear CCP once again heeded the tears of the majority race in eve and actually gave you a buff if you could only see past your addiction to near invulnerable range
Having said that, great job with the black ops (even though they NEED that covert ops cloak - they're gonna be the only covert-ship class that can't use it; kinda goes against the flow) and specially - yikes! - with the bombers.
Yes, ding ding ding guess which black ops BS was the only one to get a special buff on top.
In summation, I do hope you continue to think your Falcons and Rooks are now as weak as the Rapier, Pilgrim, and Arazu

It hasn't been mentioned yet but I found this interesting:
"An executor corporation of an alliance will be unable to leave the alliance as long as other corporations remain as active members. For example, if Corporation A and Corporation B form an alliance and Corporation A tries to leave they will receive a message stating that the executor cannot quit while there are other members. Should Corporation B leave the alliance then Corporation A can quit the alliance and that alliance is disbanded."
I'm reading that as a future prevention of the Goon tactic vs. BoB. Sound right?

Nuets/vamps counter is cap boosters, nothing really to counter the tracking repeat after me there are no tracking computers and tracking enhancers . . .. Are drone boats going to be essentially useless when going against PvP or PvE ECM ships?
Do I have to wait for a drone to be attacked before it springs into action now?
If the answers are yes then you've just nerfed something that never needed nerfing.
*edit: I thought drones were supposed to protect their controller not just themselves.

pixilated/pixillated or pixelated/pixellated: There doesn't seem to be a consensus yet about whether to use one ell or two, but there are very different meanings to these two words. Pixellated refers to what happens when you zoom too far into a JPEG and start to see individual squares (pixels, but blown up). Pixellated letters lead to jaggies, those jagged curves (although anti-aliasing has largely smoothed the jaggies down). One the other hand, pixillated has been around longer. It comes from an irregular form of the word pixie and means "somewhat unbalanced mentally." I don't know about you, but I often feel pixillated after a long day of staring at a computer screen...

THANKS FOR DESTROYING THE FALCON
You force it to get into "Bend me over and **** me" range and give it a turret bonus????? WHO PUTS TURRETS ON A FALCON????
I trained my character to be 100% caldari purist. The missile boats basically are crap compared to the blaster/laser boats for pvp, so I flew the falcon. And now you just ruined it. Thanks very much. I will now have crap ecm range and crap weapons, actually no weapons since I never trained turrets.

No, it's not the same thing.
We all know that the recalculation of training speed needs some sort of trigger like changing a skill or pressing the apply button in the skill queue. Apparently CCP implemented new triggers for this to happen, for instance being pod killed.
So, all he is asking is, will the deployment of the patch act as a trigger to recalculate the training speed?
