I ask because I noticed its 15 euros a month.
Typically MMO's are about 9 GBP's a month
15 euros into pounds is about 12 pounds.
I ask because i wanted to know are EVE players paying more per month than your average MMO?
I'm guessing USA Players have to even pay more since 15 euros is about 20 dollars

It's 15 EUR for people in Europe and 15 USD for people in the rest of the world. If 15 EUR is 12 GBP, then it'll cost you 12 GBP.
What other MMOs cost is quite irrelevant.

I believe it's 15 of the local currency so it's $15 for US customers and 15 Euros for elsewhere. But you are right and this is mainly due to our economic climate - the fact that the pound is almost level pegging with the euro whereas it was about 1.5-.6 ish which equates to ú9 ish.
However saying that, you might be able to pick up soem GTC which can lower the cost per month.

That and, remember, we get free expansions twice a year whereas other MMOs often require you to purchase them separately or pay a premium to access the new stuff. --

Dude, Steam did the 1$=1Ç and European customers got furious. Trust me, if the system worked like that, CCP would be knee deep with us Euros whining about it.

That has happened plenty of times in EVE though.

To you and the other guy.
I asked a simple question about mmo prices to see if us EVE players were paying more than your average mmo players. I thought we were and was just checking that is all.
No need to be an ass about it

You asked a simple question and I gave a simple answer, I'm not sure why you think me answering your question equals me being an ass. What did you expect, a non-answer?

EDIT: Estel Arador is not beeing an ass. You said essentially: CCP says it's 15 Euros a month. Question: Is it really 15 Euros a month?
What kind of answer did you expect?

Heard an explanation that VAT is one of the reasons for the premium. They also like American players better.

I see most of you are paying 15Ç a month. I'm from Croatia and I'm paying 15,95$. That's 11,51Ç. Strange. I'm in Europe too but paying less.

Croatio doesn't use the euro, but has its own currency right? If so, that's why you're paying in dollars - just be happy.

Correct, Croatia uses Kuna, not Ç.

Actually it's not determined by currency but by membership of the European Economic Area (EEA; members are EU members plus Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein). The UK doesn't have the Euro as currency (it's currency is the GBP) but is a member of the EU and thus the EEA, so UK residents have to pay in Euro. Croatia is not part of the EEA so its residents pay in USD.
As has been mentioned above the EUR price includes VAT, which is in line with EEA regulations.
