Wonna do a Single-Player style RTS. Pretty please!! One of u guys must have be brethren with the relic pplz.
Use the Dawn of War II engine (but in space obv.)
Game modes for multiplayer * Victory points Req points; moons Strategic points; Stations * Annhilation * 4x RTS mode
Dont really want a 360o map stick to 2d plane.
Focus should be on fleet balance with light defence on stations and moons, with limited upgrades Units (fleets) gain upgrades with experience or research
And include the awesome eve back story for a scripted campaign.
So I planted the seed, now send some farmers out and make it grow. If its done right (like DawII, Starcraft) or hw2. It would be keeeler.

I would love to see an EvE tabletop game, with starship pieces and tactics.
I would seriously love to play an EvE RPG, where we act out the groundside lives of how the 'other 99%' of EvE denizens live.
I would enjoy an EvE board game based off of Risk.
I would also love to see a full-scale RTS, but not in the 'zoomg' view of games like warcraft, but in the long-range look of Age of Empires and Star Wars: Empires at War.

Risk, Eve Edition with the different regions as the "countries" would be insane, I would totally buy that.

Edited by: Doctor Penguin on 17/04/2009 16:35:51 The rules base for an EVE tabletop minatures game already exists, in the free to download Battlefleet Gothic rules. I doubt it would take a bunch of interested people more than a few weeks to draw up a version for EVE Online (preferably with capsuleer fleets!)
To modify an entire video game to make an EVE RTS? Much harder. ________________________________________________

Hell yeah!
Maybe summat like Empire: Total War in space =) controlling the whole universe map and expanding your own corporation / alliance!
Not to mention it should really be RTS style tbvh. Mining with barges to gain resources to build ships with. And having your own faction's 'rats' defending your claimed asteroid belt. ( Maybe even having industrials to move the minerals out of the asteroid belt to your awesome ship building station of doom for lulz ).
I'd love this kind of game All faction's in eve playable more ships for Angels, serpentis blood raiders etc * droool *

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't CCP own White Wolf Publishing? I suspect they have already made (or are making) plans to branch Eve Online to take advantage of White Wolf's gaming/writing expertise in the form of tabletop games and pen and paper RPGs.
I hope that is the case. Would be interesting to see the Eve universe lore expand. --------------

Sadly, I think that this project (EvE RPG) was canceled. I'm sure I saw a dev blog concerning how, with the influx of Apocrypha and upcoming WIS, the man in charge of developing the RPG got them to drop the project entirely.

But: Where can I buy it other than the EVE Store? 48$ for shipping is really expensive.

75$ for a boardgame?!? Before S&H costs? |

I'd have no problems paying $75 for the board game considering what you get. It's the ridiculous $55 S&H that FedEx chucks on which doubles the cost because they're backwards and stupid that I've got a problem with.
Please give us the option to have your products shipped from Iceland again, at least your shipping rates were reasonable. It's the only thing stopping me from buying anything. ---

Wasn't a pen and paper RPG also in the making after CCP merged with White Wolf? Any news on it?

There are some pictures of the game and its elements at BoardGameGeek:

, and someone already posted an overview of the rules at their forums:
