How can the Hyperion have a long axis of 500M when its three times as long as a raven, which, according to its description in the preview also has a "500 M long axis" ......

The long axis on the Hyperion is the length, while the long axis on a Raven is the width. You probably just compared their lengths.
It is unlikely that CCP has made an error in their measurements since they made the models in the first place.

the sig radius is not only length, the raven is shorter on the x but much bigger on y.

If you actually go into the game models and scale from there, a Hyperion is over 1700m in length. Don't know why the overview shows different sizes to the actual game models, but it is very much mistaken.... --------------

I don't think there's any kind of official measurement here.
Prime example, have a look at the Apocalypse, and then the Paladin. ---

It's an optical delusion. Caldari ships are so ugly that photons try to find a way around them. Hence the weird shapes and the seemingly different size.

No, it pretty much definitely is a case of the data not being accurate.
That's fine. it'll get patched at some point I'm sure. Patience, young padawans. - Verin "Stitcher" Hakatain. |
