I've been trying to piece together a tengu set up that can be used for RR gangs to do sites in a c4 wh (no effects) but also one that can solo sites in a c3 wormhole (these will be neighbouring wormholes). I've searched the forums and found some RR tengu set ups but cant seem to find anything that does exactly that I want it to do. Because of the RR set up I guess it would have to be a passive set up. Obviously modules wouldnt necescarily have to be the same just the subsytems and the rigs.
Things I'm unsure of is how bad do the sleepers neut. Is it still a viable tactic to use an AB to decrease incoming damage, even though sleepers will try to web you. Also I dont mind spending some ISk on a tengu since I will be making plenty but I'm not willing to pimp the hell out of it because I'm also expecting to loose it. So I'm aiming for a total price tag below 1 bill isk.
These are the set ups that I have been playing around with:
[Tengu, RR tengu] Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Power Diagnostic System II
10MN Afterburner II Republic Fleet Large Shield Extender Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Caldari Navy EM Ward Field Cap Recharger II
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding Tengu Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
558 DPS 863 dps tank with 1 rr on it cap stable at 49% with everything turned on This is very tight on CPU so the CN BCU's would be mandatory and it's also the reason I put the CN EM ward field on it
for the C3 wh's I came up with this fit:
[Tengu, tengu WH passive C3 solo] Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Shield Power Relay II
10MN Afterburner II Republic Fleet Large Shield Extender Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Caldari Navy EM Ward Field Shield Recharger II
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Expanded Probe Launcher I, Core Scanner Probe I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding Tengu Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
same DPS obviously, a 119 dps tank, but it relies on the speed-signature to tank. The probe launcher is ther because I wont be inside my home system with this ship so it-¦s kinda mandatory. And even with the SPR it-¦s still cap stable at 82%. I-¦m hoping that will be enough to kill the sleeper neuts and webs before my cap runs out.
Any consrtuctive critism is appreciated |

That solo tank will melt in like 5 seconds. I had trouble tanking a c3 with a permarun 450 one and AB+no furies. Riotirkcs zealot could BARELY get one done and it had a 350 tank and like 100 sig and was faster. u can keep your subs just fit a capstable t2 LSB fit also get rid of thatlocus thingy and put on the platypus mouth or the dissolution sequencer |

Thx for your reply. I used the tengu for missions and it kinda felt that it used to tank at least as well as the drake /nighthawk I Used for c3 wormholes previously (this is a couple of years ago mind you)
Anyways based on your suggestions changed the electornics subsystem to the dissolution sequencer to both fits. This meant having to take off the Ab for the RR tengu set up, but I've been able to add a DCU II to the fit, which increased the tank quite a bit to 986 (with 1 rr ofcourse). I've changed to a core probe launcher on both set ups to save on CPU
For the solo set up I changed it to the following fit:
[Tengu, Tengu active C3 solo] Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Ballistic Control System II Power Diagnostic System II Damage Control II
10MN Afterburner II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Caldari Navy EM Ward Field Large Shield Booster II
Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Heavy Missile Launcher II, Trauma Fury Heavy Missile Core Probe Launcher II, Core Scanner Probe I
Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II Medium Capacitor Control Circuit II Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Tengu Defensive - Adaptive Shielding Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Tengu Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
This gives me a 510 sustainable tank ( I have been looking at a faction/complex booster, but those are a bit too expensive for my taste) The cap is stable at 46% which seems a bit low if sleepers are neuting me or 51% if I turn off the AB.
I'm fairly comfortable with the looks of these set ups, though any more advice is always welcomed. 2 questions that remain though, is how viable is using an AB in the Wh and how badly do sleepers neut in a c3? |

Surprised you had trouble with a 450 dps tank. I used to solo in a drake with a less than that. Couldn't do the radar and mag's in it though. Last time i was in a C3 my tengu only had round 600 omni tank, but also never used it for radars and mags solo. My cap was stable round 53% and didn't use an AB. I had a T2 Large shield booster and a LSE.

was your cap stability enough when being neuted or did you have some other way to cope? |
