so, after roughly 1.6m sp of Caldari shield training/missiles, I've felt the need to train some other race, and that of Gallente. Simply put, I love the way their ships look, and how they use drones to their advantage. Here are my current skills: http://eve-sheet.com/skills/Cele_Lereze
SDo what I'm asking: what're the skills needed to effectively fly a Thorax, and eventually Vexor.

Repair Systems V Hull Upgrades V Armour comps to IV
Medium blaster spec (large if you're going to train Gallante battleships as well)
Buff your drone skills up so you can use all T2 drones.
That's pretty much all you need apart from the ship skills themselves.

no need, most (99%) of the time you will be using active hardeners or EANMs, in which case Armour comp skills are essentially worthless.
if you're mainly missioning, just go for the vexor, don't bother with thorax.
prioritise getting tech2 light and medium drones, they're much faster to get into than t2 heavies or sentries, and 5x t2 medium drones > t1 heavies.

:/ EANM is a great module because the compensation skill works on it.

Wrong.
An Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II has a base resist of 20% to each damage type. Each level of [Damage Type] Compensation adds 5% of the module's base amount, or in this case 1% (.2*.05).
With all Armor Compensation skills to IV, that EANM changes from providing 20% resists to 24% resists.
There are LOTS of ships/setups that utilize EANMs and other passive armor resist modules. You should definitely have these skills at IV for any serious armor tanking.
