You promised more communication and more transparency but you are falling into lazy ways _again_ by not posting any patch notes to these MANY stealth updates.
Your LAUNCHER is an evil addiction... it is nice you can roll out patches quickly, but you are not telling us what is in the patch.
Please explain why you can't be arsed to tell us what is being "fixed". Forum signature removed by Empress Jamyl as instructed by God Tò+püä jamyl sarum tÜçsÉÄpâ¬péñpâû |

I remember the days when patch notes were released well in advance of an expansion so people could discuss them in the information portal thread. But then I remember when finding bugs or issues on Sisi could get them fixed before they hit Tranquility. |

I just think it's funny that they now have three methods of patching, makes me think that different teams/departments are all using their preference.
1. Launcher Updates. 2. Client Updates at login screen 3. Login Screen client update followed by "Installer"

yeah CCP, what gives
why is it always 2 steps forward with great fanfare and 3 steps back in utter silence with you guys? The American public's reaction to the change was poor and the new cola was a major marketing failure. The subsequent reintroduction of Coke's original formula, re-branded as "Coca-Cola Classic", resulted in a significant gain in sales, leading to speculation that the introduction of the New Coke formula was just a marketing ploy |

2nd of May is the update you're talking about right? Wasn't hard to find. I just looked around the website and found this...
Patch notes for EVE Online: Escalation to Inferno 1.0.3
To be released on Wednesday, May 2, 2012.
User Interface GÇó It is now possible to toggle the overload status of damaged modules.
I like to think that less time spent on updating patch notes = more time working on EVE. |

There are people in here posting things that make good sense, CCP. People who rarely make good sense.
This is a real problem because in order to use the sandbox we have to be able to see what's in it.
You said more communication and more transparency.
The fact that there is no dev comment yet, no patch notes yet, not even a GM comment is not very impressive whatsoever.
Is this ineptitude? Was it planned? Can you spin it for us please? We all want to learn about ethereal propagation and the niceties of watching what we do, not what we say...

Well hell, no wonder theres so much broken in this game. Noone tells anyone what theyve fixed. I'm pretty sure that I'm saying that they're far too busy fixing things that the whole team can't even stop to tick the finished box and they just start on the next thing. If they're on a roll, I don't want them to stop and have to get up to tick a box somewhere.
Edit: For those who commented on my orca comment. My comment was about the fact that they changed the orca in the first place without telling anyone (not in any patch notes). I was fully aware of the change. Just didn't know if they had put the change back in the patch notes. |
