I quit this game, and want to come back, so what can i do to have fun? i played for about a year and had my go for pvp which i didnt like, missioning which i didnt like, and mining which i didnt like. i decided i want to come back and get a job or position as a polictician... like what can i do? i want a job like where i can fly my own cool ship and mainly get on to talk with people, recruit, sort out conflicts and stuff like that. like a job as a behind the scenes man if u will.. otherwise i just dont think this game is for me.
thanks

Unfortunately EvE is not for everyone. Sounds like you need to try something else.

Well the job you are describing in your opening post is a Diplomat position, usually found in alliances especially ones based in 0.0, maybe losec ones aswell. The thing is with that position, you are only given a chance at the job once you have gained the leaderships trust within the alliance and you have a working knowlege of local politics, local contacts etc.
As other people have said though, maybe Eve just isnt for you.

You could also start your own corp and eventually try to get into an alliance. However just like what Weight Watchers describe this takes time earning the trust. You would need a form of revenue to get some capital going for your corp as well and most forms of revenue you have mentioned you don't like. |

OP - I really think you need to look again at your opening assumption - that you want to get back into EVE.
Because right after that you list most of the core features and tell us that you don't like them.
And a behind a scenes guy doesn't need a cool ship. You don't even need a shuttle - just sit in station and talk if you want to do diplomacy.
Of course it's unlikely that any alliance will make you their rep if you didn't go out with them doing other stuff. --- Save the forum: Think before you post. ISK BUYER = LOSER EVE TV- Bring it back! Laptop, NVidia7900GS, Ubuntu 8.04, WINE |
