With the removal of alloys from drones, I was wondering if CCP intends to rethink some of the missions for difficulty and reward? I noticed the level 4 mission 'The Wildcat Strike' is really not worth a Lv4 rating as there are no BS class drone ships and clearing the first room to get ot the second room effectively completes the mission. With alloys it might have been worth it with fluxuating mineral prices, but now it really sould be dropped to a level 3 mission level as the risk is minimal and the reward is paltry at best for a level 4 rating. Just a suggestion

All missions badly need revamps to AI and mechanics, and to not be boring grindfests. The fact that there are still missions with multiple 90% web towers in them is just messed up.
However, it's not as :exciting: and :awesome: as coding new features, so CCP will probably not touch them and just introduce more forms of PvE. L4 are too easy, in fact now a single Battleship Incursion belt rat can give more security gain than a l4 mission and you can do them solo (HQ belt rats are easier than Assault lol), and faster. Who does L4 nowdays? If you want to raise your sec fast after ganking, go blow up some incursion asteroid belt battleships, and you sometimes see hulks pop on an incursion spawn :) So far ive seen two pop :) Easy money salvaging in a mach :) |

Rather than making missions dynamic we need a complete revamp of mission levels to something like this:
level 1 same as now level 2 same as now level 3 same as now level 4 designed for t1 battleships and low skills level 5 designed for t2 or pirate battleships and middle skills level 6 designed for t2 or pirate battleships with perfect skills and smart npc and challenges and stuff level 7 current level 5 missions. |

Wow it would be awesome Short time trader, short term missionner, long term ambitions.

Who does L4 nowdays? Plenty of people who aren't looking to farm security gain. There's still isk, tags, modules, salvage, LP, etc. Level 4 missioning is essentially the highest a solo player who doesn't actively PvP can get, combat wise.

A procedural mission generator would be a good start, in the short term. Problem being, the usual definition of 'dynamic' around here is 'ganking.' There are those that don't care to PvP, especially if it's forced on them. |

This, I like. Though T2 battleships aren't all that much more awesome than their T1 counterparts. The Marauders only really gain from the salvaging and realistically this bonus has been greatly diminished since the noctis. An overhaul of marauders would make this scaling more suitable.
Perhaps adjust such that new L5's require significantly better skills and a good faction fit to survive. Throw in slightly more scrambling from larger hulls to increase the risk. Make these pay out the current L4 isk gains. The benefit of this is lower income for younger players in BS's running new L4's, the isk jump up to the current L4 is sizeable enough to fit in an additional pay grade.
Then have new L6's requiring a small fleet in high sec, perhaps two well skilled pilots, on the assumption that the gains would be only modestly higher per capita than current L4's.
