I really dont want my current character (Jotunspor)anymore because i just got my ship destroyed while on a quest, and got really frustrated, and i dont want to have that stat on my statistics...it, just bugs me, i would have piece of mind knowing that i have not gotten any of my ships blown up. Can i transfer stuff over (same account)? I have things like the Interbus shuttle, which i got because i bought the game in the retail package, and i want to make sure that goes towards my new account aswell. Basically, i am going to be making the same character again (Jotunspor) once i terminate the current Jotunspor. Also, i cancelled some missions before, including the one that got my ship blown to bits..which got me mad, so i canceled it. I just want to start fresh, and i realized that i was doing things i wasnt supposed to, and i was rushing... I got killed because i was going up against ....lets see, about 4 Ravens (battleships) in a Merlin. However, the thing that is mind bottling to me is the fact that i shouldnt have been able to even begin this mission in the first place, they should have listed some prerequisites. Anyhow, back on track here, is it possible to transfer items between two characters on the same account? If so, how? I plan on giving Jotunspors items on my current alt. character, and from the alt. giving them back to my newly-made Jotunspor. (After i terminate the current Jotunspor, which i cant bear to play on anymore....)Im fairly new to EVE, and still am realizing just how the game operates. Oh well, i learned...the hard way. And sorry for this story that came with my question, it just kinda fits in. i had to...

You do realize that losing a ship is not a big deal at all, in fact it's when you can lose a ship and not get all emotional and rage quit like this that you can actually start to enjoy the game.
However to trade items to and from characters in the same account just use the contract system.

EVE is all about being given enough rope to hang yourself, and your four closest friends.
Find a corp that will train you and answer questions like: "Should I be flying this level 4 mission in my Merlin?"
And if you really think you can play this game for any significant amount of time without losing something costly/important, you're playing the wrong game.

Edited by: Allaera on 13/05/2009 22:47:38 To tell you the truth m8, having your ship blown up in a mission doesn't show to anyone but you (and now us coz you told us). Welcome to the world of EvE. A harsh place where your ships can and will get destroyed, sometimes on a fairly regular basis. I myself recently lost a mostly faction/deadspace fitted Raven in an act of pure stupidity in a duel with a corpmate (but that's a story for another time) and lost about 500mil for my troubles.
So what did I do? I took one look at myself and what I did, had a good long laugh at my expense. Then I bought a new ship, replaced the fittings that got destroyed and went right back out there.
Point is EvE is very much unlike a console game. There is no save feature, there are now checkpoints to restart at, there are only consequences for your actions. Now if you continue down this road of starting over everytime you lose you are not going to get anywhere and then you'll ragequit.
Suck it up, buy a new ship, insure it and learn from your mistakes most people here have and those that haven't, well....
To answer you question, yes you can as directed by the poster below your OP.
p.s. I'm not flaming you. If you would like some advice I have no problem with you dropping me a line in-game

If you want to avoid contract trails, anchor some giant secure containers, password them and leave the stuff there for your alts to fetch. -------- Ideas for: Mining

Can you transfer ISK directly between alts or do you need to use a contract for that as well?

if you character has the correct corp roles, he can deposit stuff in your alt's hangar using the 'member hangars' button in the corp office window...
or you could always drop a jetcan at a safe spot or inside a POS shield... although as already suggested, using a secure can is more.. secure.
~~~~~ Remember, EVE is a sandbox and other MMOs are rock gardens. Pretty rocks can be collected, but collecting sand is pointless. Instead build a sandcastle and keep it from being knocked down. |
Or, just create a trial account on another computer and trade in station. Who doesn't have a spare PC around to run an alt on?
Yes, you can in fact transfer ISK between alt accounts, as long as the account you are transferring the ISK from is a paid subscription. All you need to do is search for the character in 'people and places', right click on the character, and press 'give money'
Oh and to the OP, suck it up. This is EVE and it's going to keep happening whether you change characters or not.
FYI:
If you're emoragecharrecycling because you got 1 ship blown up, EVE isn't the game for you.
You might want to go check out WoW.
oww my eyes. hit the enter button once in awhile. And man dont worry about stats. i have lost many ships. CORRECTION we have all lost ships at silly times on NPC missions, accidently shooting someone in high sec for lulz. You are playing a game where you will always lose ships. Also please dont call missions "Quest", anyway you must be a troll because if you are new and only flying merlins. 1. you will not be able to do lvl4 missions which have BS in and you wont have the standings either Join the brown Coats today!!! |
I think you just coined a new word/phrase there. And you speak the truth. I'd hate to see the OP's post when he gets can-flipped or mistaken jumps into lowsec.
