New Eden Regimental Navy is looking for a few good pilots to come join us in high sec operations.
Currently we run missions and do mining operations out of the Badi area and are looking to head low sec in 4-6 months at most.
Corp offers Orca supported mining ops, pay system for miners/haulers, support for missioner in the way of fleets and modules.
We also have an active alliance known as the Rebel Alliance of New Eden (RANE) and a corp/alliance website located here: NERN Portal which contains our corp pay system for miners, forums, and teamspeak server information, additionally we have private wiki and a live news feed for corp/alliance events.
Here is a little Q&A:
Where is your HQ, and which systems do you usually mine in?
We are currently working out the Badi area out in Khanid region; we have corp offices located in Ashi as the office prices in Badi got really stupid.
How long are your ops, and about how much m3 do you mine per op?
Op length with vary depending on how people feel. As an orca pilot too it gets really boring sitting there providing bonus' and just pulling cans in. But average op length is 4 hrs.
How do you distribute earnings after an op is over, particularly if I was using an orca?
If you noticed on the homepage there is a link there called mining. This takes you to an application that is known as mining buddy. This application allows for an even distribution of the ore obtained during a give corp op. Your portion of earnings is determined by the amount of time in the operation and the type of ship that you are in to provide a weighted payout as a way to encourage people to get into better miners, Orca is weighted the same as a mining barge at this point which means you are getting 50% more then someone say mining in a frigate.
Mining buddy works off of raw ore as well to give the corp a little better profit margin.
Ore prices are set by the CEO's of the alliance and are usually 25% below the highest sale order on the market so that selling us raw ore is worth it. Additionally we have an invoicing system that has been setup to allow miners who are doing work on there own a way to sell to the corp.
Do you manufacture at all or are the minerals just sold directly to stations?
At this point all mineral production is being put to use for corp production. We have limited production capabilities at the moment but we are increasing them at an expanding rate.
Do you do any mission running?
We do run missions, we are trying to get our Khanid standings up high enough to allow use to do a high sec pos. We have decent chunk of strict missioners at this point that like to fleet up and go pew pew, but all members will run missions. Cause let's be honest it gets really old mining all the damned time.
How old is the corp and do you think it will be around for a while? Most of the mining corps I've joined closed almost instantly, or within a month. :(
New Eden Regimental Navy is over a year old. The leadership staff is too stubborn to give it up. At one point we had three active members but maintained and started profiting. Now we are seeking to grow again in a controlled fashion getting everyone to know each other prior to bringing in a bunch of new people.
Do you mine in wormholes, hidden belts or low sec, or do you plan on doing it eventually?
We will mine anything we can. We are currently looking into gaining some low sec access. We are looking to start mining out missions as well. And we will more fully kick into exploration here in a few weeks.
Additionally we try to listen to what our people suggest. If you see something that you think needs to be fixed we are more then happy to address the issue with you to make our corp stronger.
CEO is posting from work; replay to post or go our forum. Or join our pub chat in-game NEW NAVY.

why is a orca weighted the same as a mining barge hell i can fly hulks, it takes longer to get in a orca than a barge and its weighed the same

Because all orca is, in all reality, is a glorified pick up point. I know. I fly one. And I have almost maxed bonus' for it. Orca really doesn't do that much work. So that is why they are paid equally to mining barges. Thanks,

Correct, by about 20%. But they do most of the work in our large mining fleets, orca's become the central pick up point for hauls. Cause in reality orca is just a giant hauler that kicks out some bad arse bonus'. Thanks,

LOL. Oh no. If your an orca pilot your gonna have to fly it at some point. I will not be the only one. And in large fleets we will usually have an orca at the head of each squad and kill multiple belts at the same time with each orca having it's own dedicated hauler. Thanks,

and how does a hulk work more if all they do is target a rock click on the strip miners and sit there while a orca tractors in all the cans has do do runs back to station occassionally.

all i want to know is how a hulk works more than a orca when a hulk all they have to do is sit in the belt and mine too they dont do any more than a orca

Cause technically a orca doesn't mine. It sits there and bonus'. No really mining occurs from orca unless you are running mining drones. And even then the output that you will do compared to even a mining barge is nil.
But trust me, they have a huge value in a large fleet, it allows us to kill systems in less then an hour. Thanks,

I am not comfortable talking numbers via the forums. That is information I can give you if/when I speak to you in game.
Suffice it to say my miners are well paid and taken care of. If you want your can join our Pub Chat at New Navy and speak to some of the miners we have. There are usually two to three people logged in that fly orca. Most of them fly it for the good of the corp and for their money making they use hulks.
Keep in mind you will never be required to fly orca, it gets to be very, very boring. I have fallen asleep running orca a couple of times. Thanks,

Hey Leanasas, We do all kinds of things, not just mining. Although we have mining ops all the time and it seems like we only have an Orca out there about half the time. We could use 1 or 2 more Orca pilots. Hit us up if you are interested. Good luck on finding your corp.
Tides of Silence has over a hundred members, existing since August 2006, currently in Empire, and possibly moving to 0.0, based out of Gergish. We are a corporation that is extremely inclusive, taking players new to EVE up to players in excess of 40m SP. Our members come from all over the world; split about 50/50 between EU and NA timezones. We are taking full advantage of Wormhole Space with exploration, hunting Sleepers, resource gathering, production, and invention. We also develop our PvP skills training in low-sec roams and run our own incentive-based corporation PvP tournaments. We are a corporation that understands that real life can get in the way and value having fun while playing more than anything else. We are looking for pilots with a good attitude to join a fun, mature corporation and we believe we have a place for everyone. If you are interested please join us in our help channel "Tides Help", post your application at http://eve-corps.net/forum, or eve-mail either Killshandra, Eidolon Ra, Denie Fearstalker, Jopest, PanzerGrenadier, Ryuzaki Lawliet, RabbidFerret, or Ectoplizzle.
