Hi,
since 3 day-¦s iam trying to connect to the SiSi Server but with no success. Everytime i try to start it via Launcher i got errors. The most common one is "Client Update unsuccessfull". I tried the repair tool several times. i changed the directory, downloaded the offline payload files ....
This is the content of my log file for the launcher:
Exception in thread UpdaterProcessThread: Traceback (most recent call last): File "threading.pyc", line 530, in __bootstrap_inner File "threading.pyc", line 483, in run File "lib\update.pyc", line 792, in Update File "lib\winapitools.pyc", line 147, in GetShortPathName OSError: Path must exist
I hope somone can help me with this

Me too, I think in my case the download of the patch gets corrupted because it clogs up my internet and DCs me every time I try to get the file.
I think that part where I get DCed it corrupts it because one of the errors Ive been getting it that EVE is corrupted and to run repair. I do, it goes to the download and it happens all over again... is there a NON launcher way to get the update? http://www.bioone.org/doi/abs/10.2317/JKES0811.17.1 Bees That Drink Human Tears -- ITS SCIENCE!!! |

Sorry to say there seems to be no help from CCP on this. I had this issue myself. And still do even with smaller updates recently. And also now on TQ. Launcher is clearly broken in some way.
Anyway, I have a well hidden solution for you guys. http://community.eveonline.com/download/?fallback=1&s=singularity
This is the offline sisi installer package.
1. Download all three files to a directory on your drive. Not your TQ install directory, naturally. 2. Run the .exe. Make sure you tell it somewhere else to install this eve client. It seems default set to the main TQ install path. 3. Do the usual shortcut on desktop thing as per normal SISI connection instructions.
Side note at CCP... please look at this and fix it. It is affecting TQ now, too. Do not want to download a whole game client every patch. |
