Hi all, Just wondering if any one could help me with a question I have been wondering about for awhile ?
I like to collect Small scale BPO's like ammo and frigs/crusiers , and just for setting up a station in a 0.6 sec space and copying would I realy be able to make a profit or should I wait till I have larger scale BPO's so to speak ?
Really not sure if the cost/profit ratio would balance or whate , any help gains my thanks for what its worth ,lol
Cheers ED

yes you can make a profit - will it cover fuel cost and beat the value you can get by producing on the prints - do the match.

POS cost isn't the only factor to consider, nor is profit. Be aware that a POS can also require a lot of your time.
My friend has access to a large POS, as the owner had it offline and wasn't using it, so my friend used it for a month. My friend found he could make enough to pay for fuel as well as end up with a tidy profit, but that it was a LOT more work than he was expecting. He didn't have time for his non-manufacturing pursuits. The POS will shortly be offline again.

Running your own POS varies on the time to maintain a fair bit, The costs of the Fuel can vary based on ISK/Time, if you buy all the fuels/buy NPC Fuels and Ice/Buy NPC Fuels and Mine Ice. Doing the last option chews a fair amount of time for a Large POS.
Now that being said always try to based your Cost/Profit Ratios on the "Buy all Fuels" Option as it is the most expensive (ISK wise) typically, this way if you take a couple of weeks off you don't throw your costings out the window.
Keep in mind that a Large POS can hold 20+ days of fuel at full capacity(depends on the modules you have hanging off it).
Suggestion if this is a High Sec Research POS, Anchor the Defences but leave most of them offline unless at War, this will cut down on your Ice fuel requirements, but try and keep a months worth of fuel(with everything turned on) for the POS in spare if possible. (rainy day insurance)
