I left a ship inside my Tower's bubble. I exited it, entered a shuttle, and signed off. I came back about an hour later, warped back to the POS and my ship was gone??
Aren't ships supposed to stay indefinitely inside a bubble? Or does that only apply to low/null sec?

Edited by: Stitcher on 20/05/2009 00:34:38 could be somebody nicked it. I mean, if a POS-bowling exploit happens in the middle of nowhere, and nobody's logged on to see it, then did it really happen?

Say, can you just bookmark a ship (or close module) warp there with your pod and board the floating ship before the pod gets bumped out of the bubble? -------- Ideas for: Mining

Nope. It lands you 5km outside the bubble every time. ___________________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

one of three things happened either someone with access to the pos stole it or bumped it out the force field, if the pos is belongs to you alt corp or something similar and the password resets it will fling the ship out and it may be floating off grid or someone found it flew it away or finally some other random bug ate the ship or bounced it out the shield its off grid or someone found it and flew it away. -

The few guys that have the bubble's PW, I've known for 6+ yrs, and I also know they can't fly the ship.
Ok so it seems my ship is SUPPOSED to be here, and its not...so...petition time. :D

HA! Found it! Directional scan, and saw it...but we couldn't get to it. We pulled out the scanners, and for some really odd reason, it was moving at 1000m/s by ITSELF!

It was probably expelled by the shield when you logged off and on again. We've seen that happen on POS that are set to password-only entry because under some conditions the password is wiped. Using corp/alliance entry options prevents the issue as the ship still belongs to your corp after you leave it.

One could have bumped it out - even by accident I suppose. Then someone else took it.

Out of curoisity why didnt you just dock it in a ship maint array (or whatever the proper one is)? -------------------------------- To borrow a phrase:

So somewhere out there we are going to have a ghost ship hurtling across the cosmos until EVE shuts down?

That's funny i had logged on to find a whole POS had disappeared on me. And all the ships were still there 4x mammoths(all rigged and full; about 400-700 mill of stuffs) full, 1 x sleip, 1x Rapier, 1x helios, 1 x Cheetah, 1x rifter, and a few shuttles. Am only happy that it was a small POS.

I've had a corporate hangar take off from a POS at 1km/s before too, crazy things, GM came into system to see for himself when we petitioned it.

Same happened with me once. I had to get a very fast ship to catch it. Best scanner training ever trying to catch a Rorq doing 1000m/s !
After that, I made sure the ship wasn't moving at all (not even 0.1 m/s) before I ejected.

the collision mechanic should be implimented here just so you can throw ships at someone once you run dry or burning from every hull breach
