Me and many other minmatar are not religeous, a god in my eyes would be a symbol of true goodnes, so why do the amarians comit evil crimes like slavery in the name of god? In my opinion the amarians should hope there isnt a god because he will send them to hell for their evil crimes on humanity.

As your people spew the same nonsensical questions about once a week Hardin's tiredness has to be understood.
We are god's chosen. It was him who put the duty of reclaiming on our shoulders. Maybe you should read the scriptures to understand our belief - and maybe they will even open your eyes and you'll see that we are righteous people.

Nebulous, you're quite right, they don't have a response.
I was force-fed the scriptures during my school days, but even at an early age I wondered what sort of God would spread fear and hatred amongst his children. It was a question I only asked once, as it inspired my religious teacher to an unholy rage
And once he'd calmed down, he still didn't give me an answer! And, to this day, nobody has... at least, not one that has been even remotely convincing!
--------------------------------------------------------------- "Meantime, all around me is violence and robbery, coarse delight and savage pain, reckless joke and hopeless death." |

An honest question, and Since I have been out of circulation for a time, i may be able to answer, where hardin merely wants to bash his head into the nearest bulkhead.
The Amarr are an ancient and proud people. While all others but the jovians were still swinging from the treetops, the Amarr were forging a vast empire across space. The Amarr empire is ~fifteen thousand years old.
Much has changed since the inception, except for the constant faith in God. This is the single driving force of the empire.
Part of the scripture refers to Man's fall from grace and his redemption. The redemption is referred to as the reclaiming.
The basis of the reclaiming is that the Amarr are the chosen people. As the chosen ones, it is their duty to bring the remainder of mankind back into God's fold.
So you are asking "Why use slavery to do this do you not catch more flies with honey?"
The answer surprisingly is a resounding no.
No other system for integrating a foreign group into a larger populatin has proven as effective. Done according to The scriptures, the slaves are treated as children of the empire, until such time as they are deemed to be one with society. They are then freed to become a vital part of God's people.
Sadly enough, that is the short version of why the empire enslaves it's neighbors.
One last thing. I can hear the arguements that 'it is wrong to take away someones freedom'. That is incorrect on two counts. 1)No one is truely free. We are bound by societal and personal obligations. Show me someone who is completely free, and I'll read the epitaph off of their headstone for you. 2)There is no right and wrong. There is only what works. Slavery works for the Amarr so they will continue to use it.

Since God loves all of His creations, including lowly Minmatar, and God is by definition good, any act designed to bring God closer to His creations cannot be considered to be evil

If there is no right or wrong, how can there be any societal or personal obligations to bind us?

Pretty convenient how the Amarr can get closer to God by spending the odd hour or two in church here and there, yet the Minmatar can only get closer to God by enduring years of enforced labour

Good question.
Right and wrong are defined by the society you inhabit. Therefore, there are no absolute definitions of right and wrong, merely societal ones.
The prime example is slavery. The Empire believes it is a solution to the problem of integrating foreign cultures into their own, enabling them to achieve a higher purpose. The Minmatar feel, on the other hand, that it is a great injustice and slavery prevented them from achieving some greater purpose.
Who is right? Neither. Who is wrong? Neither. Everything is relative, especially 'truth'.

Thought i Should add that the Amarr have already done their penance. Each race in the empire has spent time in slavery.

I have come to the conclusion that it is useless to try to discuss with those who have never read the scriptures and stubbornly do not *want* to see the wisdom therein.

Sigh...... Another poor unenlightend creature.........
Nebulous I realize it may be hard for you to comprehend so I'll spell it out in such a manner that even a Minmatar can understand.
1) Yes you are not religious you are a heathen. But you can still find God and Enlightenment through your service to Amarr.
2) God is good. He demands we enlighten all that in itself is a great gift and proof of his goodness.
3) The Amarrians commit no crimes! We carry out the will of God in enlightening the masses of Minmatar beasts who would otherwise be living in the nightmare myth of so called "freedom" in some cave somewhere.
4) Hope there is no God? Why would I do that? Our God is the God of truth and light and outshines all other beliefs. Our God has decreed through his medium the Emperor Doriam II that we enlighten the heathen Minmatar.
Clearly you have no understanding of these plain facts. Further proof that you can not care for yourself and need our wise Amarrian guidance. I'd suggest you call the SPCS Hotline immediately and arrange transport to the nearest Slave Reeducation Center!
