I was wondering if there is a way to see who these people are.

only when you buy from them/sell to them. And the only way to tell the non-highest/lowest order's owners would be to peel the onion one order at a time.

When you undercut someone else, it's skill/effort/manipulation.

Just one addendum: If you're trying to figure out who a competitor is, remember that buying from/selling to them will also put your name in their transaction list. Alternatively, their name may already be in your list. Say you're selling a trillion units of pyerite (just to make a riduclous example). You'll have lots of transactions for thousands or millions of units, the ones to pay attention to are the folks who only bought a single unit, and probably about the same time you got undercut. -----

Well that really really sucks. The reason I asked was that kills any chance of having any real economic warfare. I had this idea that having a price war with War Target was a good way to fight back as a trader, It can still be done but with a lot of effort.

first of all, sorry for my english... :P
if you want to know you competitor, just build up an alt, or 2nd account, and use it (without showing your face)
personaly i think that is irrelevant to know who's behind the scene. because my transactions take all place.
there are always noobs messing with market(stupid prices, stupid quantitys), or players with certain plausible demands (need for fast money)...
what's the point to know wich player is getting a buy order above you?... if you get angry play poker. make an "all in" and see if other trader is up to it. (maybe in a few days he/she will forget that specific item) carmo
