Edited by: Riki Halcyon on 30/05/2009 06:44:39 All right well I love the post!
I can't remember the names for a few and I am going to have to post tomorrow after I talked with my old middle school bud. I played the Atari as well and Coleco Vision but I don't remember many of the titles. Here it goes.
NES: Kung-Fu Excite Bike Mario Bros Super Mario Bros I, II, III Kid Ikarus Ikari Warriors Solomon's Key Gladius Mega Man Zelda
Commodore and Amiga: (It's all a blur which where on which) Settlers (original version) Sim City California Games Spy Hunter Civilization
PC and other games: Samurai Total War MoO II (great one!) Spaceward Ho (Mac)
Sega Geneses: Ice Hockey Soccer
N64: Mario Kart Golden Eye (I ruled, but the only shooter I have ever been good at)
Also, ones I loved from other people's lists: MoO II M.U.L.E. (yes!!!) Smash TV Spy vs Spy Mech Warrior 2 Lemmings Monkey Island Leisure Suit Larry

When I was a kid, we "played outside" which could mean hide-and-seek, riding bikes, various forms of shooting at each other with home-made wooden guns, and street games like kick-the-can.
In high school I had a friend with a terminal; he could connect a telephone receiver to the terminal, and we would connect with a mainframe somewhere and play Lunar Lander. The cost of paper rolls (there was no CRT) limited how much we could play this.
Then while I was still in high school our family acquired a state-of-the-art Philips Odyssey 2100: Pong, Squash, Breakout--the works!
In college, I played a lot of D&D (as customized by various DM's). Later, I acquired a used TRS-80. I would pop a cassette tape in and cload up Star Trek for hours of fun.
In the arcades, "my" games were Battle Zone, Pole Position, Joust, Missile Command, and Defender.
After college, I got an Atari 130XE. M.U.L.E. was probably my favorite game for that platform. Back then, one of my friend had a more advanced Atari ST computer, and we'd play Sundog on it. My brother-in-law had a Compaq Portable PC, and we loved playing Star Trader on that.

Edited by: Draeca on 30/05/2009 22:00:15 Edited by: Draeca on 30/05/2009 21:59:30 Hmmh, let's see.. Born in 1986, didn't have a nintendo or other cool consoles when I was kid and I got my first PC around mid 90's.
- Doom, still one of my favorite games. I just got into mapping again.. - Duke Nukem 3d, wasted a huge chunk of my life with it's map editor - Grand Theft Auto - Commander Keen 4 - Command & Conquer - Zelda 3 on SNES - Rock'n'Roll Racing on SNES - Total Recall on NES - Star Wars on NES

i spent months typing the code in on BBC model B's at school during lunch times and after school in order to play these games, then spent weeks proofing the code to find the bugs/spelling mistakes.
