I have a caldari freighter with 902,750m3 (with 21,427m3 cargo) and I am trying to put a rigged destroyer into it (55,000m3 unpackaged) and eve is saying that it can not put it in the cargo. The desy has been stripped of all mods apart from the rigs (why I am trying to ferry this destoryer in the first place) and still it says I do not have the room. This is confusing. Is this a feature of the game and what might be a work around?
Thank in advance

first, I don't get that sentence, please explain me what it mean, and two, you can't put unpackaged ships into cargohold.

ok first I am refering to the fact that I have 902,750 - 21,427 (equals 881,323m3) cubic metres of space left in the cargo hold of a caldari freighter. Second if you can't put 55,000m3 of ship into that amount of room left -why? Also is there a work around?
Thanks for you input

Check the cargohold of the destroyer. You might find your answer there.

Thanks - but as reported in the initial post the desy is completely bare apart from the rigs. It is unusual; if other ppl have had the same issue I would be interested to know. Otherwise I must be doing some wrong!
Thanks again for any input

Make the destroyer into a courier contract, then it will fit fine in the freighter, you can do this with ships smaller than BCs.

Ok I will try that that. Thanks for the work around. But isn't it strange that I can't fit 55,000m3 into a cargo hold of 881,323m3? Maybe CCP has the answer :)
Thanks for all your input guys

This. Unpackaged ships can't go in the cargo hold of anything unless they're wrapped up in a courier package.

Only ships with "Ship Maintenance" bays can transport unpacked ships, nothing else can unless it's wrapped up in a courier contract, and that's limited to 120,000m3.

He was saying you can't put a container in another container since short after the begining of the game.
The unpackaged destroyer act like a container. You need an Orca or a Carrier. Fetchez la vache ! moar(tm) < soon(tm) :(

to move a riged ship in a freighter u want to trade it to alt/buddy then have them set up a transport contract then take the contract with the freighter pilot then move it over.(do not know if it still works last time i tryed was 2 years ago)
