We all know that CCP and EVE is all about spaceships are serious business and will always be the main focus of this game. With that said, does that mean no further effort will go forward in the development of WiS and what we have is what we'll get - WiC(walking in closets)?
Is WiS all but dead now? |

Postponed heavily, not a priority, but not dead. They're focusing on what really matters.
Don't expect WiS for several years. However parallel development between EVE and Dust might lead to new features here and there.

Yes, http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=3430 all good and well, but that doesn't answer the question now does it, because what I have read leads me to believe that Team Avatar is not about WiS. In fact I think it is nothing more than a facade to keep people thinking WiS is not dead but on the back burner - and we're talking indefinitely. With the double speak in that blog it is easy to read between the lines.
This is about WiS - walking in stations....not walking in closests. So the question I asked still stands. Is WiS dead or isn't it? |

Dead, no. There is a place for avatars in EVE (and I aint talking Titans)
WIS isnt dead, its more or less in Suspended Animation tho.

The first step is to make the walking in closests working well, then expand from there.
So Team Avatar does answer the question, WiS is their long term goal, but it'll be a lot of steps to get there..
Personally I expect to see the beginnings of this happen along with Dust.. |
