Hi, I'm just doing a bit of research to find out what people doing different activities make on average per hour. I'd appreciate it if people here could post any activities you do on a regular basis, and roughly how much ISK you make from them per hour (or any reasonably time period). Also specify what space you do the activity in (highsec, lowsec, 0.0). This is mainly to try and settle all the debates about some activities being more profitable than others.
Examples would be: Level 3 missions - highsec - 5 mill / hour Exploration - lowsec - 100 mill / hour Trading - 0.0 - 50 bill / week etc
Also, I'll update this post at some point with averages.
Rules:
Post all information required. Don't give information on activities you don't do often (less than once a week). Don't post false information (this would be pretty pointless tbh).
DISCLAIMER: This obviously only represents a small minority of people posting potentially erroneous information, so take any figures here with a pinch of scepticism.

Thankyou to Gieron and Nocturnal Avenger for their input. As for the rest, I am aware traders can make ridiculous ISK, but it would be nice to hear so from the actual traders with some honest figures.

Level 4 mission running (0.6): 50 mil an hour BPO Research/Invention (0.6): 10 mil an hour Mining Veldspar/Kernite/Pyroxeres/Scordite (0.6): 20 mil an hour Mining ICE (0.6): 10 mil an hour
For your information, I do all of these at the same time as that's the best way to make ISK fast. :P

Pirating - low sec - 1M/hr (after ship losses). Level 4 missions - low sec - 50M/hr including LP. Exploration - low sec - 30M/hr (includes travel and probing). Exploration - w-space - 50M/hr (includes travel and probing).

50 mil an hour for missioning is wayyyy too high a figure for most people. Empire missioning for me gets about 25m an hour, assuming I salvage. 1 single account, 1 ship (Good social skils and effective Q 20 agent). I made 50-60 mil an hr ratting in 0.0 most times and was never at at any real risk. I made 110 mil in 1 1/2 hrs in a class 3 WH every other day last week. I made 200 mil in 7-10 minutes flipping contracts or other reselling. I made 500 mil in an hour in a plex once. I made 12 mil in an hour of pvp and I was lucky to get anything.

Just to clarify, I'd prefer it if you gave figures over time rather than saying "Oh I ran one plex in an hour and got 500 mill, therefore plexing gives 500M/h." You must try to factor in the time it takes you to find a plex, and how often a plex that good appears.
EDIT: To clarify, this doesn't include time spent logged out, EXCEPT for situations where you could not effectively do any more of the activity at the current time (eg all trade order slots filled).

From scamming I was making roughly 1 sale at 900M a day, so times by seven and subtract a day or so and also the set up costs for contracts/materials.
Lets call it roughly 5B-6B a week contract scamming somewhat part-time (roughly 8H a day or so).
Hope that helps, unlike all the regular useless trolls in this thread....

No really. T2 production, 15 mil an hour casually. T3 production and wormholes, is very profitable, but also very fluctuating. Prolly round 30-40 mil an hour.

Per what hour? Per hour switching jobs, with/without hauling, or per production hour.
Because if we assume 'casually' means a 30% utilization of your production slots, and your 15m/h as per production hour (monthly average), that would mean 5m per hour per production line, which is way too high.
1m per slot per hour is a more reasonable figure imho. And there isn't alot of casual in keeping all your lines near 100% utilization. -- [17:47] <Mephysto> its dead, jim |

Actually, I already know what I enjoy doing. I am just posting this to try and get some slightly more substantial evidence which people can use when they complain about various professions being too profitable/not profitable enough/stupid, or if people just want to see what professions earn the most/least.
Ideally, enough people will post here that we can actually get good accurate statistics on each profession.

Level 4's: 5-25M isk/hour including LPs, loot and salvage.
Nullsec ratting: 15-30M isk/hour not including faction spawns. Including faction spawns up to 100M isk/hour.
Exploration: Not tried it since the scanning changes. Before the scanning changes sfa.

Income per hour. Level4s in High-sec (T2 fitted apocalypse): 15-25 mil in bounties+5000-9000 LP (roughly)+maybe 6 mil in salvage/loot. Ratting in Providence (0.0): 8-10 mil Ratting in Delve (0.0): 35-70 mil Trading in Faction modules: 50-700 mil per hour of active time hunting for buy/sell deals. It's not a predictable market. |

I'd prefer it if in future people could include LP in the profits. LP will be assumed (if you don't specify otherwise) to be worth 1k per LP, since this is the value CCP have stated is their target.
