it kinda sucks to warp to a beacon only to die in 10s to a dread or carrier |

Yeah, ships receiving Capital reps are damn difficult / near impossible to kill, and frankly it's really annoying. My moncole doubles as a cigarette lighter, a flashlight, a laser and x-ray goggles. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm in love with Punkturis. -á-á-á

While it is not implemented yet. They are going to split the free fire systems soon and cyno jam the main subcap one. Will be later in the summer after inferno though. Possible during the remirror after inferno launch. If it happens to soon after patch day though we will need to wait a month or two for the one after that. |

So you warp to a pounce, and see a room full of carriers, dreads, and subcaps getting capital reps.
Then what do you suggest, might I ask? |

Well seeing as most caps go to CA1 and CA2 maybe you could try and avoid these 2 Combat Areas, its simple logic really |

No, the majority of all ships go to CA1 and CA2. Capitals simply go wherever the people are. The other day there was a good subcap fight in CA5, and the capitals showed up immediately.
The capitals don't go to CA1 or CA2, the capitals go wherever the subcapitals are, because they can hold the field easily there.
It's simple logic, really. |

Well yes, come caps may go to other CA's but not enough to hold the CA for ages just get a few BS's to take the loners down, get in a fleet and wipe the CA's clean, it isnt hard, and if you want 1v1s then ask in local, but just dont tell people in local where you are going to do it. |

The issue is that people don't want to have to constantly form against capitals in order to fly subcaps in the FFA rooms. If you spend ten minutes killing triage carriers in a combat area, it takes them less than a minute to fit another one and come back out. Same goes for dreads. Clearing them off the field is no more effective than clearing subcaps off the field.
We aren't allowed to have seeded faction modules/ammo on the test server because CCP wants a "realistic" test environment, yet every subcap fight is halted by blap-fit dreads that you'd never see alone on TQ.
Asking for a 1v1 isn't useful in testing many ships, as the point is often to see how well you can maintain control of the field against a number of subcaps, any of which who may/will shoot you.
There is no justification for a mixed subcapital/capital room when there is less than (at least) 20 ships per side, because it's an entirely unrealistic situation that rarely happens on TQ, and even then is extremely organized and located in wormhole space. Give the capitals a room to do their thing, and give the subcapitals a room to do their thing.
You don't fly a carrier/dread in a room full of subcaps to test anything besides how well a Moros with all Magstabs/TEs in the lows can one-volley targets. You fly a carrier/dread in a room full of subcaps to feel like you're scoring some victory on a server where the most expensive part of your ship is the ammo.
If you're really on SiSi to test out capitals, you should be testing them on other capitals, because I can tell you with certainty that
1. Your dread with all tracking/damage mods and no tank will volley anything that you're 90% webbing with the slaved/T2 trimarked/linked Vindicator on your other monitor.
2. Your triage carrier will tank a room full of subcaps and even a dread or two for a long time, all the while keeping alive anyone that others in the room start shooting. |
