In a scenario of 1/2/3 titans blobbing is discouraged because you have to be on your toes. Often you have to split up into a few groups, seperate support from battleships, nearly all the time you have to be careful spending too much time in the same spot.
Taking down a jammer POS requires a blob. Breaking into a system requires a blob. The entire "discourages blob warfare" thing is absurd because you need blobs to accomplish anything, and the fact that you can vaporize a blob doesn't change that at all.
Effectiveness will ALWAYS scale with player count, the best solutions to "blob warfare" are making targets that can be more easily engaged by fleets of smaller scale. With titans, it's still Blob A vs. Blob B, except Blob B occasionally vaporizes Blob A and then blobs out whatever survived.
It's as if your solution to titans is to just field fewer people. It doesn't work like that. If you get doomsdayed, you essentially lose regardless of numbers. If you don't get doomsdayed then having more numbers helps tremendously. Obviously, titans have not reduced the value of sheer numbers in achieving victory at all here.
You're also missing the fact that the alliances capable of fielding massive blobs have always been the ones with the industrial capacity to produce the most titans.

This has been an issue all the long. Things should not be in the game if they scale this poorly. Titan-stacks were broken in the last Delve invasion and they're broken now too. The only thing that's changed is the side using them.
