Originally by: Hermosa Diosas Sorry but its true..after reading alot of posts on the forums. Ive never see such arrogance, unhelpful, rude people in my entire gaming life. And it seems to be a growing breed.. Everyone who posts and yes everyone anything if its game changes, suggestions, or just general stuff, all you guys do (and there is a alot) is tell them to leave the game, get lost, idiots, tell them to die..Hardly any of you give constructive information or can actually have a conversation..Its disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourselves...
I used to think we were pretty good at the rude-opinionated-arrogant think, but reading the darkfall forums made me realise that there is much work yet to be done. You stupid loser (doing my best here)

Originally by: Oku Kee'lus It's the nature of EVE that makes it so.
EVE has a steep learning curve and it is a living breating world that requires losers, for there to be winners, in almost every single activity that you can engage in (more people should learn how to win by having fun, even tho they're "losing" but that's another thread ).
Most people think they know how things work after a few weeks and then run to the forums to omgwtfwhine about how they got killed auto-piloting through low-sec and how the game shouldn't even allow you to go into low-sec the first 6 years.
People here get defensive, yes. They have every reason to tho. There's not a single MMO out there that hasn't been watered down to appeal to the broadest possible audience, except EVE.
EVE is a niche MMO. It is EVE exactly because it is a niche MMO, and it is thriving because it is EVE. Simple as that.
That's not to say EVE can't be made more appealing to players. CCP are working hard to ease people into the world of EVE and lower the barrier to entry, and they are doing well I think.
The problem is just that most new players who come here and complain/suggest/whine are either a) Not going to enjoy EVE in the long run unless it changes into something that the current player-base does not want, b) Not aware of the deeper impact their suggestions would have on a game that is almost 100% player-driven.
( ...oh yeah, and paragraphs, lots of people don't ****ing use paragraphs when they post crap. It ****es people off ).
See a constructive informative post..wasnt difficult was it..thx...
you deserve none...

Originally by: Ankhesentapemkah Most people I speak to in game avoid the forums like the plague due to the cesspool it has become.
I know several MMOs that do have mature forums such as Ultima Online and Guild Wars, but those tend to be much better moderated, at least a lot stricter. No constructive content in post -> Delete.
This from someone who calls people "sociopaths"....

Sorry but we've got a long way to go before we're nastier than the DFO guys. |
