A while ago me and a couple of mates we're watching this old Gallantean horror reel called 'Blood for Ardishapur'. Story was your basic evil-amarrian-cult-plotting-to-commit-terrorist-actions-to-make-the-emperor-do-whatever-and-gallante-hero-comes-to-the-rescue. Kind of lame reel except for the fact that with the end credits, they claimed that it was based on this real, actual cult called the 'Tetrimon'. That kind of creeps me out, and I was just wondering if anyone know anything more about those people? Seems like yet another bunch of amarr nutters if you ask me, but I could be wrong. Anyway, more info on them would be nice, thanks.

They're a bunch of no-good heritics. That's all you need to know about the treasounous cult.
Oh and they taste good with butter. -----------------------------------

As if an Ammatar could discern a heretic from a saint. You'd better leave these decisions to the proper *Amarrian* authorities.
The Order of St. Tetrimon was founded by the Apostels and has ever since strived to preserve the scriptures and the Amarrian purity. They fought fiercly for the Empire during the Minmatar slave uprise.

Yeah, umm. So whats the diffrence between the tetrimons belief and the imperial belief then? I never got the amarr religion pinned down proper. Since its such a big deal to you people, would you care to explain a bit please? See, I got this weird notion that somewhere in your scripture, there are parts talking about the virtues of compassion, meekness and that the last shall be the first..?
'course, I could have just read a gallantean version of your scriptures, and since they havent got any theology council looking over their shoulders...

Well, maybe not officially Heritics, but considering they believe the apostles to be the rightful governing body of the Amarr and not the Emperor that could be construed as heresy. However I respect the Emperors decision to allow them to exist because they're good at killing Minmatars.
Oh, Minmatars also taste good with butter. -----------------------------------

Your version of the 'scriptures' must have been a tainted one. Our scriptures speak of our duty of the Reclaiming - conquering in the name of the one to spread his word and his will throughout the universe.
The Order of St. Tetrimon believes that the morale reforms, which led to the current position of the Emperor as spiritual and worldly leader of the Empire, were in contradiction to the scriptures (which were according to them altered to rectify the reforms) and thus the word of god. They have still failed to produce the proof they claim to have, for which we are all waiting in anticipation.
Regardless of this they have fought for the Empire (not necessarily the Emperor) on countless occassions and are far from being troublemakers or usurpers that want to overthrow the current order to gain power and standing themselves.

Edited by: Arex Teele on 10/09/2004 22:22:19 'Reclaiming'? Thats amarr for enslaving, right? I never realized that was in your bloody religion! I know, Ive been living my life well away from politics back home on Audarne IV in the federation, but Ive got a bunch of good friends in the republic who told me what the amarr are like. Ive read history, I know what you did to my ancestors. I just didnt realize you actually justify it all with your religion...
Kind of sad, really. That so many amarrians are so unwilling to change even though your new emperor seems to be at least more progressive than the amarr majority...

There is some truth in your statement. Several months ago the Emperor freed something like 125,000 slaves.
125,000 by just waving his right hand. That's far more than have ever been freed by all the so-called Freedom Fighters attacking the Empire. I wish more of them would understand that their continued raids and attacks aren't what compels him to release their brethren and maybe there is another answer to the whole quandry.

But I would not say - majority.
Only the more extreme or hard line who believe in a Reclaiming as was done in the past times. I would say many more Amarr today seek to enlighten those outside our race and spiritual beliefs.
This I think is most important.

So what do you reckon the best way to end the amarr-minmatar oppression/terrorism cycle of death is then? Giving up slavery obviosly isnt a choise, since an agreement that aims at that has been proposed by both the republic and the federation always has been turned down. What about religion? From what I gather from Tharrn, the very thing that the amarrians base their obvious belief that they are the 'master-race' of the universe comes from their religion. Isnt that way of thinking getting too old for todays universe? I cant really belive that the 'Reclaiming' is the most important thing your scriptures speak of.

Please. Enlighten me. Thats why I came here in the first place really. You cant hate what you deeply understand after all. I dont want to have my children having to fight this fight too, so enlighten me, and the rest of the minmatar as well. We might be able to teach you a thing or two as well.
