k... watched the trailer.... almost closed the window when they started showing:
1) Crop Circles 2) Free Energy Machines 3) Messages sent by ET
But, it looks zeitgeist'ish so I'll probably give it a try.
PS: I'm really hard to impress. |

The most effective pawn is one who does not realise he stands on a chess board.

I am all for making a better world, since it is obvious what we have no is rather crap.
However, free energy and UFO and stuff is well... absurd. If someone actually can show me such a free energy machine, thats another thing, but so far I have only seen machines that does nothing but increase entropy. If some can show me clear evidence of extraterrestrial stuff, then thats cool but so far I have seen nothing.
And yes, those with the big money hold the most control, but they too are victims of a flawed social and economic system. It is not some cabal of illuminati that is stoping progress, it is a system and all who have bough into the system that refuses to see the absurdity of it. |

No, no, it was:
Do you know what is wrong with the world? People. Get rid of people and the world will be a better place. EVE residents: 5% WH; 8% Lowsec; 15% Nullsec; 72% Highsec. CSM 7: 1 highsec resident out of 14.-á

The film says *nothing new*. Every single thing mentioned has been discussed b4... all rubbish. The only true statements are about the rich controlling everybody else.. again, duh, we knew that.
The guy started with the statement that "life is meant to thrive" instead of "fighting for survival". But he fails to see that in all of nature is actually the other way around: survival of the fittest, natural selection. It doesn't matter how much free energy you tap into or how perfect of a utopia you create, somebody is gonna get the short-stick. There will always be some AI Alice whining about some hot girl that's not interested, etc etc etc.
Also, there is the part of human nature that causes people to get bored. It doesn't matter what it is (new car, new house, new game) you will eventually get bored and desire something else. Therefore, utopia will never be achieved.
Don't get me wrong, I love this topic... I just don't agree with the film. |

Its nothing new that we feed the rich ones. And I don't agree with all of the parts of the movie. I just want to get some different personal opinions about it. What people think about it. |

Let's just say there's a difference between "think" and "critical thinking."
