Attempting to get on the test server and I'm at this stage:
Create a shortcut to your test client, add the text " /server:singularity" behind eve.exe in the shortcuts target line.
Wtf? Do they mean right click and properties on the shortcut then in the title line add /server:singularity? Could someone please tell me how the target line should look if my line before pasting reads as follows:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Desktop\EVE TEST\eve.exe"
Where do I paste in /server:singularity? I have tried adding it in but it fails to accept it.

Here is what I have:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Me\Desktop\EVE TEST\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
That should be all on one line.

Thanks, it seems to have accepted that. However I can't login due to "incompatible release"
I've already applied the patch I was linked to as it was a previous step in the instructions. Any ideas?

I haven't used the test server in a while. So I don't know really.
But I think the best way to do it is to copy your original eve folder, or alternatively install the normal client again, and then connect to the test server and let it patch you to the latest test version.

Ah it's too stressful lol.
I followed the stupid instructions to the letter. Then I put my build number into the patch finder and it returned the test patch as 90412 build.
Put it in the test folder, updates and nothing.
Bugger this, thanks anyway.

I just use the auto updater to get to the most current version. Make sure your firewall isn't blocking something called Pando media something or other, thats what the eve updater is called.

I just updated my client with the patches it suggested. It still says incompatible protocol. So it's possible it requires a new patch that isn't released yet.

Edited by: Xorxarle on 30/05/2009 17:33:13 The current sisi version is the same as tranq. just copy the main folder over to where you have located the the sis folder.

Edited by: Matthew97 on 30/05/2009 18:26:57 Also if you post in the "Game development" forum you will get a quicker / better awnser
To get on singularity locate your TRANQUILITY install and copy / paste that into your EVE TEST folder (make one) that you want to use to connect to SISI.
Right click the eve launcher > create shortcut
Right click shortcut > Properties in the TARGET line it should have like
"Path here"
After "Path Here" put /server:singularity
So for me its C:\evetest\EVE\eve.exe /server:singularity
At the moment its the same version as TQ
For server information with versions + patches go to
http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/server_status.php
The Game dev forum is at

Hope I helped!
