I have been looking on Battle clinic for set ups for the Nag, but they seem to be out dated with still 5 mids. anyone care to share your setup. I know one of the biggest questions now is Shield or Armor Tank.

It is regarded as one of the worst dreads since it uses a split weapon system and not only requires twice the training but also requires you use more low slots for weapon upgrades to match the other dreads.
If you are going to tank it, i would guess a triage carrier would tank for you, a shield tank is the only way to go. Focus on overall resists and try not to fit buffer, since the effect on this class of ship is minimal and a resist increase will have a better effect.
Though i remember someone saying it makes up for it about its shape compared to most other ships. ------------------------------------- Read my bio ingame for tips on how to live and not be called nasty names by me. |

Naglfar is fine now. You can have a nice shield tank AND an load of damage mods on it. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Haven't read patchnotes I see.
New nag is kind of cool:
[Naglfar, New Setup 4] Domination Gyrostabilizer Domination Gyrostabilizer Domination Gyrostabilizer Dread Guristas Ballistic Control System Dread Guristas Ballistic Control System Damage Control II
Capital Shield Booster I Shield Boost Amplifier II Invulnerability Field II Invulnerability Field II Sensor Booster II Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution

Core Defence Field Extender I Core Defence Field Extender I Core Defence Field Extender I
It still lacks some EHP compared to the other dreads but it has a great tank and great dps.

Yeah, true most of the time. Switch CCCs for CDFE then and add resists if you feel like.
Doesn't change the fact that the Naglfar is okayish now.

Oh, what i was saying is that it follows the minmatar philosophy with able to shield or armor tank it. But since it needs 2 types of damage mods you need to put a shield tank to keep the damage with the other dreads with their damage mods, since the it needs 2 types.
It's no where near a bad dread.

Before the patch it was crap, like utter crap. But it got buffed but no one read the patch notes so the Nag is still **** but vertical.

That is not true as most standard Nag fits had only one Armor repper which the Nag can still easily do.
Right now, I am still armor tanking and still fitting two projectile damage mods which works out better after the change in dmg bonus towards projectiles. In the mids you can put another cap recharger or second sensor booster. |
