My corp lives in a c2 with a c5 static. We are having trouble finding a good, mass happy, fleet comp to run the lower end anoms in our c5. I am assuming someone has tried this before. We have between 5-10 active pilots on at the same time, with SP going between basic t1 BS to T3s. Does anyone have ideas? Will a RR BS gang work? I'd hate to have us get stranded in the C5. |

Always keep a backup "last man out" scanner alt in the C5 when running. Not sure off the top of my head what a C2 outbound link to a C5 is but I'm assuming N062 which would have a reasonable amount of mass for battleships but they aren't the ideal ship for a C5 - although armor/energy spider repping domis with sentry drones can also do it and cheaper than tengus.
As mentioned above RR tengus are the stock way to do C5 sites unescalated but if you've got a few people and a gangbooster (not essential but makes it a lot easier) then it may be possible and quite effective to do it with 3 logis, huginn/rapier for webbing small stuff (and possibly energy xfer backup for logis) and some shield gank oracles.
EDIT: Also can put a probe launcher on the huginn/rapier for extra scanning redundancy. |

The majority of my pilots are months away from a Tengu, so i'm looking for a less skill intensive way of doing it, It doesn't need to be pretty, it just needs to work. Can Basi/Scimi stay cap stable enough to pull it off? What tank resists/ehp/dps ratio should i be looking for? I use a N062 hole so I do feel I would be able to field some BS however if you guys are saying the BS are just huge sitting ducks i'll need to figure something else out. |

If you don't have five RR Tengus pilots online then two Guardians for an armor fleet or two Basilisks for a Shield fleet work fine. All ships must have 80%+ omni-resists with about 35k+ ehp. Tier 3 BCs are typically a bad idea in a C5. However, Rooks are a decent choice to reduce incoming dps.
You should always have a dedicated scout when ratting so getting stuck shouldn't be an issue. If you were desperate for more dps, you could put a probe launcher (and cloak) on your salvaging ship to act as "scout".

Major pain is exactly right. Why not a Scimi? Neuts too much? |

that and a scimitar is a pain to get 4 RR on it, not enough powergrid. tankability is lower on a scimitar too, iirc |

36k ehp seams low for a BS (assuming worst case) what would you suggest that be? |

Normally not a good idea but properly setup shield oracles with ganglinks and 3 logis can work and a good source of cheapish dps tho T2 large turrets are a bit more training time than most newer players will have time for. |

This man is correct. Plus, since you'd be running armor, your mids would be open for some pvp utility (point, web, etc..), for when you eventually get a pvp fleet landing on you. Add to that the fact that Navy Geddons are cheap and absolutely lovely to look at, you can't lose. |

2 basi / guardians + whatever you prefer. battleships, t2 ships, t3's. nightmares are excellent, but expensive. just fly what you want
when my corp lived in a c2 stat c4 wed often find c5's to farm. we would just make a fleet with whatever we had floating around. play around a bit and see what is fun and efficient. anything can work really. |

I don't recommend using battleships. In my experience, battleships fleets chew through the site a lot slower then tengu or drake fleets. Before we started using RR Tengu's we did drake/nighthawk fleets with 2 or 3 basilisks. Basi's work better then scimi's because of the neuts, although using scimi's is possible.
It's possible to do the high-end sites aswell but the logi's need to on their balls, and need to pre-lock and chain reps when some-one gets yellow boxed cause that alpha can be pretty heavy for some BC's. |

6 rr tengus + noctis if you can field that much pilots. I'd have alt scouts on all the holes if possible. |

if youre using BCs to run C5 sites, youre doing something so horribly wrong i don't even know where to begin... |

It doesn't seem recommendable to do any core+ sites in anything but t3's with backup. If you can't fly that, don't go there yet. |
