background - we suicide a CNR. I attempt to sell him back the damsel, a conversation ensues. All kinds of interesting questions are answered. And yes, he's petitioned.
Me > hello sir Farmer > ? Me > would you like to purchase your damsel back? Farmer > What you do for me? Farmer > Understand the point you say! Farmer > Why do you do for me? ? ? Do not understand very much Me > if you accept the contract, you can finish your mission and get paid. Farmer > I can not my girl. . But you will be punished accordingly Me > i just picked up the girl. she will be saddened to find out that she is abandoned yet again in the caverns of space. Farmer > However. The group you are! ! ! Me > Yes, but I did not shoot you! i would like to be friends! that is why i contract you the damsel! Me > plus she's very talkative Me > i'd like to be rid of her to be honest. Farmer > Girl you keep it! ! Me > rather cold-blooded, i might say. Me > what country are you from, friend? Farmer > China, are you? Me > I am from Canada Me > do you play eve for fun, or do you play eve to make money? Farmer > Yes. But cheaper prices. Farmer > Hello. Canadian friends Me > hello! Farmer > On the eve of the game is fun Me > I see, an enjoyable game it is indeed. Farmer > *attempts to sell me isk. yes, he's been petitioned* Me > is EVE your primary source of income? Me > for money? Farmer > Yes! Me > Do you sit in the same room as other people who play eve with you? Farmer > Yes. There are many Me > How many? Farmer > Every day. 5000000000ISK Me > Do you sit together in one building? Farmer > yes Me > How many of you sit together? Farmer > Many Me > If your ship gets blown up, do you get punished? Farmer > Loss to the vessel assembly ISK Me > So if you lose the ship, everyone else gets paid less? Farmer > yes.. Me > I am not interested in buying isk. but thank you for the conversation, it is most interesting. Me > I have always wanted to know how your organizations work. Me > do you get paid well? Farmer > Thank you for your conversation. But I blew up the ship was non-long-life! !搜索 Me > the ship was non-long-life indeed. Me > fly safe, little farmer. |

Nice. They probably chopped off his daughter's arm for having a conversation with you.
Interesting, though.

I thought china has it's own EVE server, because the chinese gov don't want people accessing info about tibet etc.
So, how are these people accessing the servers in London ? Is the chinese gov turning a blind eye?

Isn't stealing a non-generic mission required item a petitionable offence itself? Just curious.

Interesting idea you have. I wonder if us shouting free Tibet in local after ISK selling spammers appear will have any effect. |

What?
I think it's like the "bumping freighters is griefing" thing. If you do it repeatedly to the same person for no particular reason, then it can be considered griefing but if you do it to specifically prevent them from accomplishing something - the mission, warping etc due to some sort of corp politics etc, its ok.
So ransomming a mission item is fine - going into the same persons mission over and over, taking it and not convoing them or anything, is not. But it has to be demonstrated repeated attempts on the same person. |

What I found most interesting, besides the lolbabelfish, was how nice / professional the guy was. I think we have this stereotype of 1,000 chinese people sitting in a warehouse desperately screaming when one of their CNR's goes pop, but in reality I would bet these guys are low-middle-class guys with a decent standard of living, residing in a city, working in an office running missions all day to make ISK for reselling. |

I too have heard this before. Maybe it is big-foot mythical, or maybe it is one of those rules that if you whine loud enough to the right GM it is. |

You should probably secure the movie rights for this story. "An Interview With an ISK Farmer" ... could be a major hit
