Well that was fun.
I haven't looked at the stats yet have no doubt that -A-, UK, -A- Citizens will have spanked our arses efficiency wise - primarily because they had very good logistics and the lag meant we couldnt deliver enough DPS quickly enough to alpha targets.
In addition -A- is a well oiled machine which had obviously planned an op. We on the other hand were surprised to say the least and scrambling to react and didn't get fleets in until after jammer and JB was down. While we did eventually get lots of friendlies in the system not everyone was in the same fleet or even in 'optimal' ships...
C'est la vie - tbh was a lot of fun with both sides doing a lot of reshipping - but in the end we couldn't break the logistics and pulled out with -A- and co leaving shortly after....
I really hadn't expect so much fun on a Tuesday evening!

Hey, we were hardly there! This was 100% AAA v ProvidenceBloc :)
Heard it was going on, scrambled some sniper hacs together, went to find some fun and ninja'd on a few KM's in the last 30 minutes. Lag meant we didn't ninja on much though :(

Paxton arent roleplayers, and pretty much everyone respects CVA for bringing the fight. I know all the cool kids like to mock lolrp, but dismissing them just because of that is a bad idea.
I concur.

GF CVA, Paxton and friends. I think the major reason for our relative success in that fight, beside the outstanding job of our logistic crew, was the gun cycle bug. We are very used to it and experienced it before, while friends of CVA have quite a few people who are relatively new to fleet warfare. But you live and you learn, next time you'll spank our butts Respect for bringing it as usual.

Couldnt 20 stealth bombers warp into the enemy fleet and just launch all their bombs in a suicide (say all of them were EM bombs, so they wouldnt pop each others bombs because of the 99% resist the bomb has to its own damage) and just insta pop the enemies that way?
With that much lag the enemy would pretty much have to sit there and just take all the bombs damage. Couldnt that work to just clear out that many targets all nicely huddle together in a RR chain. If not in 1 wave, for sure on the second wave of 20 or more bombs.

Originally by: Eaiaden Dont underestimate CVA & CO, they can drop 100 dreads in your face just like all the major powers can, mess with them is like fighting under water, they just keep crawling up under ever damn rock there is, and the harder you hit them, the more support they get, why? koz tey are so bloody do_gooders that everyone and their mother cant help liking them in some twisted way.
Ill root for Providence in this, not in a million years will AAA be able to take their sov from them, though i highly doubt this is an actual "invasion"? more like the ruskies is bored in delve and wanted a regular fight witch CVA will allways bring.
eh there are those lil kids ,that think they won eve already , and they never fought cva in a real fight , they just killed a few farmers or some roaming gangs fights and they heard from others that they are roleplayers and they came to the conclusion that cva sucks lol... a prove is that aaa ,one of the most powerful alliance atm (bob being their pet), are fighting cva for years and they lost a lots of space against them ... so keep underestimate cva & co ----

We formed a fleet for some atlas support action or something, then andyz said someone killed all our targets, so someone suggested we go to d-g and wait for a fight.
PXF, CVA, LFA, and friends have yet to not engage us and they are awesome. Keeps us on in practice and I hope we are in turn teaching them to be better at fleet fights. Much love to the provi-blob.
Oh, and im p.sure provi don't have to ever worry about us invading them, we like them too much :D |

you roleplay an amarr spaceship pilot in an internetspaceship game with fancy names like octavian vanguard who conquer fake space and pretend to be a bigshot when it comes to who owns pixels shaped like asteroids
if drawing a line and calling everyone on the other side of it a geek makes you feel macho, more power to you
i am in a roleplaying alliance and I roleplay less than you do ffs
