Edited by: Taedrin on 11/06/2009 03:45:26 So, I started working on my own little project to help me learn how to use the API system. I did a bit of searching and couldn't find any applications out there which take your userID and api key and just do a raw dump of all the api pages.
So I decided to start doing that. So far, my little project just does a single page (character list). Is there was any interest in this project going all the way and doing all of the api pages?
All this program would do is take your userID/api key and download all of the XML files and save them to your hard drive (preserving directory structure). Maybe also allow the user to export ALL the data to a more spreadsheet/database friendly format too. |

Yapeal does have option to cache the raw XML to disk and I believe some of the other libraries maybe able to do so too. |

Two edits in a matter of seconds. (don't drink beer in the afternoon after no sleep and a night job kids).
What would be GREAT is an application that you could select what gets pulled from the api and a text version of the code that goes with it, the query in other words.

Edited by: ReguIator on 22/06/2009 18:27:42 Simple method to getting Corp Wallet Transactions:
1) Get a full access API Key for an account that has all of the proper roles (Accountant and whatnot)
Load this page: http://api.eve-online.com/account/Characters.xml.aspx?userid=0000000&apikey=00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Ofcourse replacing the 0000's with your API Userid and Key. EX: http://api.eve-online.com/account/Characters.xml.aspx?userid=3488667&apikey=41883629FBEA4D7CAB382320017E668CBE0768D8E3614F418F463C51A14920AA
Get your Accountant's characterID: <row name="ReguIator" characterID="403607796" corporationName="Midnight Syndicate" corporationID="1663268606" />
Load this page, again substituting the 0's for the correct info: http://api.eve-online.com/corp/WalletTransactions.xml.aspx?characterID=000000&userid=000000&apikey=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
EX: http://api.eve-online.com/corp/WalletTransactions.xml.aspx?characterID=403607796&userid=3488667&apikey=41883629FBEA4D7CAB382320017E668CBE0768D8E3614F418F463C51A14920AA
Yes, it's true. API Fun can be had with GET, just as easily as POST.
EDIT1: Lots of usefull info, on how to get a csv, instead of an xml here: http://www.eveonline.com/api/doc/data-account.asp
