Edited by: Sofitia Mourtos on 24/09/2004 22:51:26 Zanjitsu bonds.
Zanjitsu is issuing 20 bonds each of 250 million isk with a 10% monthly interest rate, if you are interested in obtaining one of these you can contact me Sofitia Mourtos in game for further information.
Background: Zanjitsu has been around since a few weeks after launch, and have always been an industrial corporation, at the same time we have often offered different financing options for our products (get the item now - pay later / in installments etc) and have build a nice bit of trust based on that. It is this trust that makes us confident that we can actually make this work.
We have been very active in tech2 production/sales ever since the first blueprint original(s) were released, and out latest acquisition is the Caldari assault ship "Harpy" blueprint original.
However a lot of tech 2 blueprint original(s) are being released these days and this requires massive investments - therefore we need additional "foreign" capital to enhance our growth within the tech 2 market.
Concept: We have 20 bonds for sale each costs 250 mllion isk. In return you will get a 10% interest payout each month and naturally the bond can always be traded back(with due warning time) to Zanjitsu for the original 250 million isk.
Payouts: At the start of each month 10% of the 250misk will be paid as interest on the bond. This means that if you have bought 1x 250misk bond you will receive 25 million isk from Zanjitsu at the start of each month.
As the issue date will most likely be in the middle of the month the first payout will only be at 5%. To sum that up with an example:
18/9 - you buy the bond. 1/10 - you receive 5% (12.5 million isk) as interest. 1/11 - you receive 10% (25 million isk) as interest. 1/12 - you receive 10%.... etc.
As an extra benefit all bond-owners will get better price/priority (depending on product) for our tech2 products for personal use.
Cancellations: The bond can always be traded back to Zanjitsu however we need warning time (to free some isks). ôBuy-backs" will be performed on the first of each month, and you must provide Zanjitsu with at least 1-month notice.
Here is an example: 19/11 - you deside that you want to sell the bond back to Zanjitsu. 1/12 - you recive your usual 10% (25misk). 1/1 - your bond is bourght back at 250misk - and the 10% for the last month is payed -> you get 275misk.
Zanjtisu may at any time chose to buy back the bond with 1-month warning in the same way as if an investor chose to sell back their bond.
Security: Some obvious questions are:
- What security do I have that you will pay me each month? - What security do I have that you will buy back my bond?
Naturally this is where the before mentioned trust comes into play. You basically have no "security" you do have some indications:
- Zanjitsu is generating a lot of profit these days, one example is the Harpy sales in which there is a very long waiting list for units sold at 40misk, and this is only one item, this is no security but it is an indication that we are _more_ than able to raise the 500misk required to pay in interest each month.
- Zanjtisu has been around a long time, we sell products if we start *scamming* our customers we will lose a LOT of creditability which will hurt us much more than what we will gain. (At least that is our evaluation on it)
- Zanjtisu currently has quite a bit of assets, which should indicate that we would be able to liquidate those (if needet) in order to buy back the bonds. (More detailed financial information available on request)
Again all this shows is that we are able to pay the interest and that we are able to buy back the bonds. It gives you no security that we actually will - for that you only have our word.
Target group: This offer is target towards rich individuals who have 1+ billion isk in their wallet but do not have time/interest in doing there own "investments" in Eve - this is an easy 10% interest without any work.
This is not directly targeted towards corporations since we expect that corporations will be able to perform there own investments, naturally we welcome any investments - just keep this in mind when you start flaming.
*SCAM WARNING* I might as well say this myself - and I'm sure lots other will repeat it in posts to follow.
THIS SMELLS LIKE SCAM - CAN YOU REMEMBER MORBOR!!
This very much sounds like a scam, and I cannot prove that it is not I can only give you my word - to some that will be enough based on the trade history with those people and for others it will not...
Do not invest in this unless you are absolutely clear about this is 100% trust based - I'm not aware of any game mechanics that can be used as security. (There is colatteral - but we need our assets to generate profit).

Now let me see if I understand this - you know I just happen to be a bit slow...
You're asking people to loan you money without any security whatsoever, without any guarantee for the advertised return on their investment and with abo****ely no way to recover the investment should these funds in some way happen to be misappropriated - so that they can give you even more money shopping for tech 2 from...you.
That is the concept, isn't t?

4 bonds have been sold so far. I really dont expect any "new" contact to come in though this deal, and I'm doing this publicly mostly to make ppl aware that I do these kind of deals.
Originally by: Brainman Is there a shares transfer involved as well when you issue a bond ?
No - another way of putting it is to say I want a loan ;-)
and JP Beauregard I'm not going to comment on your post since your obvious just here to troll... ---------------------------------------- Buying Co-processor II bpo |

It does indeeed speak volumes about your business ethics to accuse anyone who questions your practices of slander.
Maybe in style but certain not in vogue.
One hell of a way to build trust...

If you do not trust her, what exactly is your problem? The solution is quite obvious, do not invest your money in this deal.
Surely this person has people that know her and who has worked with her, and apparently this post was for them to see that she needs additional money influx to invest in tech 2 blueprints and components.
I mean, really, nobody is forcing you to do this. Surely people are aware of the trust issue here and I don't think stating the obvious is very appreciated :)

Since you only address about half of the issues I brought up, I hesitate to agree that I only restated the obvious.
Quite obviously, some still don't have clue.
Good luck to Zanjitus in their quest to impoverish even the last fool in the galaxy. I am confident that they will be spectacularly successful based on the supply of suitable targets alone. |

I have done business with Zanjitsu since after the game went live. Zanjitsu is a trustworthy corp and I would recomend them to anyone.
As for individuals that have expressed the issue of security, I can assure you that this deal is above the board and will bear fruit.
I wish Zanjitsu luck and congrats Sofitia for a good idea...

I've done some business with sofitia and I've heard quite a lot about her. It seems that she's one of the few persons that can be trusted in such a scheme. If you check a bit down the forums you'll see that someone sold to sofitia a bpo for some bil and he forgot to place the ISK value on it. She claimed the escrow and wired him the money.... I believe that one speaks for itself
Good luck there sofitia, unfortunatelly I need every single ISK I can lay my hands on atm.

I must say I'm a bit impressed by the intrest/confidence people have shown us/me with this deal. So far 10 bonds have been sold and I'm still in discussion with a few ppl about a purchase. Even sold a bond to a Morbor victim...
I had hoped to use the isks for the assult frig bpo on auction yesterday but the price became too high - so (as always) I'm looking for new investment opertunities.

I bought a Harpy yesterday from Sofitia, which brought me below the 250mil mark so I couldn't buy in on this deal
There are only a few corps in the game that you could trust with this level of investment (BIG being another example)
Now if there were a 100mil bond offer going, I could certainly get in on the action....
