While I've not found an attractive deal on a Ragnarok BPO yet, I am exploring this possibility. As stated I would not be interested in buying ME0 BPOs but I am considering options for well priced ME1 or better BPOs and not just for the Ragnarok. However prices would have to be very good to tempt me.
How do we feel about returns in the 2% - 2.5% region on Titan BPOs? Are further well researched examples an investment that you would be interested in or is it something that you would not touch with a pole of significant length?
Glad you are feeling better Bad Bobby.
The 2% return are great in my opinion. I knew this was a long term thing when I invested, and this return is most certainly better than the one I get from leaving isk sit in my wallet.
Which brings me to my next point - I would like to invest more (through more BPO's, I doubt anyone is selling shares at 1m ea.). The only thing stopping expansion would be that the market is saturated, but a ragnarok BPO give us an entire new market, which is why I like the prospect of buying one.
In any case, as long as you think the market can handle it, I would favor expansion. Considering how fast we sold these BPC's (on pre-order even) it seems like a good idea, but what do I know?

Thanks! Although it's going to be a while before I'm back to full working order and my doctors still have a battery of tests they want to perform on me.

Indeed and I'm currently pushing towards 2.5%-3.0% returns as the BPC market improves.

To be honest, the Ragnarok is not the best prospect at this point. While I'd be happy to complete the set, I'd be more interested in another Avatar or Erebus BPO.

Yes, I am having absolutely no problems selling Titan BPCs at this point. Not only have we sold both BPCs we have produced so far (one on pre-order), not only have we sold two out of the three BPCs we have in production (on pre-order), but I've sold two more BPCs that I sourced elsewhere without any difficulty at all. Obviously the other two BPCs are not part of the IPO arrangement, but they demonstrate a fairly healthy market.

1. LEVIATHAN BPC at ME0 PE0 has been SOLD.
2. EREBUS BPC at ME1 PE0 has been SOLD.
3. AVATAR BPC at ME1 PE0 is due MAY 2010 and has been SOLD by pre-order.
4. LEVIATHAN BPC at ME1 PE0 is due JULY 2010 and has been SOLD by pre-order.
5. AVATAR BPC at ME1 PE0 has been SOLD.
6. RAGNAROK BPC at ME1 PE0 has been SOLD.
7. EREBUS BPC at ME1 PE0 is due AUGUST 2010 and is AVAILABLE for pre-order at 7.5 BILLION.
If we were to expand into new BPOs I would suggest we buy an ME2 Avatar BPO (NPC 67.5b) and then an ME2 Erebus BPO (NPC 65.25b) at NPC price or close to it. This is entirely possible, I have a seller in mind, but there would need to be sufficient support from both existing investors (voting for creation of new shares) and new investors (buying those shares) to make it fly.
If we were to purchase the ME2 Avatar BPC at 67.5b-70.0b, I would happily put in 7b to maintain my 10% shareholding. I'd want to get that BPO locked down and producing before considering adding another Erebus.
So really this is the immeditate question: Is there 60.5b-63.0b of additional investment available to buy and lock down an ME2 Avatar BPO for returns in region of 2.3%-2.7% averaged per month on that BPO, which averaged with the existing BPO set would be 2.0%-2.5% returns?
If there is, then I'm happy to expand. If there isn't, then I'm happy to carry on as we are.

I've been watching the titan bp market for a few months now, and things have picked up substantially. In addition, there are cheap researched bpos out there right now. An expansion into avatars or erebuses (erubusi?) would be reasonable.

yo ho
I donot think that filling the titan set would be worth it. I rather have Titans 4U check the market for an blue print that might be even a better use.
I would be willing to offer 2 Billion isk for the expansion. Might even go higher than that.

Dividends received. Thanks for that!
I'm in this as a long term investment. Low but steady and reliable income is what I'm after with this.
