Edited by: Francine Dingleberry on 28/06/2009 06:07:29 I just finished the Minmatar Maelstrom I had been working on for the last few months.
Gallery can be seen here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/pupumonkey/sets/72157620661974186/
The ship is just about 4 feet in length. I doubt I will do another ship this large, but that Nidhoggur keeps calling to me.
This is a papercraft model. I will be uploading the kit to eve-files shortly if anyone is interested.
The kit is made entirely of card stock with a few toothpicks and dowels, much like the actual Minmatar ships in game. :)
Enjoy!

You know instead of those cast models of questionable quality CCP sold why don't they hire local people desperate for some secondary income to fold spaceships and sell them in the CCP store? Then the price could could be something the average eve player could afford who doesn't have the skill or can't be arsed to do it themselves. Its a win for everybody especially CCP as I'm sure certain members of the government are looking greedly at ccp's profits and are devising ways to get a bigger chunk of it. Being a hero of the working man and making some low level jobs available would go a long way as a buffer.

At first I looked at the pics and went "Looking good... quite a lot of detail huh." Then I returned to original post and spotted the part about 4 feet. "Uhh, that's 48 inches right, isn't that pretty big?" Since I don't normally deal in inches, I dug up a tape measure to check it out. Holy crap!
I pic that really shows the scale compared to something common would be great.
Great work, please consider making a Rifter. :p

Actually it should be pretty waterproof with the clearcoat finish. Notice how reflective and shiney it is?
