I can't find anything on the forums concerning a change with 1.3 but everytime I login the client just crashes no error nothing just poof gone. I played with no problems before patch so is there something I am missing? Any help would be appreciated.
I am seeing the exact same thing. It started happening about 5 days ago, though. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Eve, and it is still happening to me.
Same thing here. No info, no nothing - just hard crashes and kicks me back to the login screen. It often takes me 10+ tries to log in, then I'm fine. I've tried everything that people have mentioned and a few that they haven't and it does nothing to fix it.
It's obviously a problem with *their* database or server, since there's nothing wrong at all with my machine and it's only since this last patch that I've *ever* had a problem logging in. That it works finally... it's clearly something broken of overloaded, since this is exactly like trying to get into Jita - sometimes it works, sometimes it just doesn't.
My gut from 30+ years of computer use tells me that their database/SQL server is on the verge of dying. When SQL starts to get messed up, it does exactly these sorts of timeouts and glitches. If this is true, it may be that the SQL server(or one of them) is dying or close to it and may need a full shutdown and reinstall from a backup.(read - 1+ days down-time to fix it).
The last time this happened at the place I used to work at, it took the entire company off-line for nearly a day and a half. So be prepared. I don't think this is fixable "during downtime". Fixable... yes. Just not in an hour.

I made a thread in the issue, workarounds & localizations forum but I guess I should have stopped by here first.
I can't log into the game. I'm given a black after the splash on all resolutions but my native 1920x1200, and when on my native resolution my mouse pointer changes from the default windows xp skin to EVE's skin but the log-in screen does not show.
here's the thread for more info.. but that's the main idea. http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1150387
I've installed and reinstalled the game several times and have had the same results using downloads and patches downloaded through several channels (torrent, offline download, manual patch, etc).
This is the first time I've installed EVE in a year. This is a fresh copy of WinXP Pro SP3 and everything has been updated.

Quick update on my above post. With numbers!
Datacore - Propulsion Subsystems Engineering is definitely not dropping in Class 5 Radar sites :(
Tonight myself and my friends did 5x Class 5 Radar sites. Unsecured Frontier Server Bank x2 and Unsecured Frontier Enclave Relay x3. We completed these sites in their entirety (last wave of the Enclave Relays = fun!). No tanking a spawn while looting cans; though I don't think that would make a difference. Our Datacore totals for the night are:
Datacore - Defensive Subsystems Engineering: 196 Datacore - Electronic Subsystems Engineering: 234 Datacore - Engineering Subsystems Engineering: 160 (strange name btw!) Datacore - Offensive Subsystems Engineering: 218 Datacore - Propulsion Subsystems Engineering: 0 Datacore - Minmatar Starship Engineering (wtf!): 177
We believe that somehow the Minmatar Starship Engineering datacores are dropping instead of Propulsion Subsystems Engineering. Thanks for looking into this! BTW, everything else is very nice. The spawn amounts for Radar and drop rates are quite an improvement over before!
Thanks, -- Psan |

Game is crashing after waiting for que.
Both myself and the guy sitting near me have run into the same problem. We get onto the game, start messing around, then after about 10 minutes we got disconnected. We are using two completely different internet connections (he's using a hotspot, i'm using my AT&T aircard.)
So now we're back in que waiting again ... 1000's of people waiting ahead of us. |

It aint crashing for me allthough i have been waiting over an hour to connect much like the 1,045 people in front of me.No doubt they will have to shut the server down again due to a half arsed job by ccp.

The sound seems to keep getting tweaked a bit, but it is never really fixed.
Even if zoomed out all the way, you should still be able to hear some of the sounds of your ship being shot, especially, and most other in-space sounds too..
Sound in hanger is still too loud. ттт ттт ттт ттт ттт ттт т Growing old is mandatory. т Growing up is optional.
