i want a truck that does that, so instead of filling up on gas i just hit a deer, dog, cat, etc. I'll paint 'FEEED MEEEE' in big letters on the side and have chainsaw door handles and a .50 cal mount on top with a guy who has a mohawk and randomly scavenged clothing, and weird accessories, like pieces of tire for shoulder pads...yea.... |

Those aren't actually powered by dead animals (they still need an external power source). They're just glorified bug zappers. _________________

Edited by: Iasius on 30/06/2009 21:36:34 Edited by: Iasius on 30/06/2009 21:36:10 I have had the thought the most efficient machines with motor functions is the biological animal body. A tuned fit human body can run 24 miles from a large plate of food that has proteins, carbohydrates and other stuff.
So i had the idea of genetically engineered torsos with legs, about the size of a donkey. Has no brain as such just autonomic signals are sent to manage the heart, digestive system and so on. These drone animals would be on something like an exercise bike that has a generator motor on it. These ghoulish creations would be in a house loft to provide power for lights and other consumer electronics. Effluent would be collected and sent to power stations that run off methane a'la mad max 3 power station. A high protein goo would be fed by intravenous lines.
Yes it sounds like something from a horror movie but its the most environmentally friendly source of power i have thought of. Please resize image to a maximum of 400 x 120, not exceeding 24000 bytes. If you would like further details please mail [email protected] ~Saint |

It'd be the watch of the bug apocalypse, herald of the new age and the forthcoming skynet apocalypse. You know you'd totally wear it anyways. Or at least I would.

I'm not a real pain in the ass about my vegetarianism. I don't really try to enforce my view but passively encourage them by example. (I've gotten three in the six months I've been a vegetarian so far.)
In my own experience nearly every restaurant has a good vegetarian meal so I'm not an inconvenience to any of my non-vegetarian friends when we go out somewhere to it. McDonald's is the only one I have trouble with. If they don't have a vegetarian dish I just order a baked potato or fries or some **** like that.

I agree completely.
I think in all of my experience with vegetarians I have only encountered one individual who didnÆt push his views but that was due to his broader belief of never pushing an agenda. The rest of the time their either grilling the cashier as to if there is any meat in the chili or spouting tripe about how they are saving animals by refusing to buy meat (got news for you, in a world of huge meat companies like what we have there are still far more omnivores then vegetarians out their. Even if you get a sizeable chunk of your community to stop eating meat that cow is still going to be slaughtered and sent to another community market. Maybe not today or tomorrow but the rancher sure as hell isnÆt going to have a change of heart and set the cow free.)
I really have no problem with people choosing what they put in their body, I just wish they would shut up and stop trying to get me to convert to their way of life.
