Edited by: Ender2006 on 04/07/2009 12:58:59 Looking for a program to simplify my accounting. It may already exist, since I know if does for several other games, but I haven't been able to find it yet.
There is one restriction though. It must not need .net to install or use since my current computer install has screwed up those programs and needs to be reformatted and tried again.
Program Description
Automatic export of all inventory items for a given character into an excel 2007 spreadsheet
Spreadsheet must have two columns: 1st = Item Name 2nd = Quantity
Each item must be on a separate row so I can copy/paste appropriately.
Each item must only be reported once. Regardless of if I have 20 stacks in 20 different locations. QTY should reflect this total amount.
Would be nice (but not necessary) for this program to filter out modules already fitted on ships Would be nice (but not necessary) for program to inventory container contents and cargoholds Would be nice (but not necessary) for program to provide item location(s) in a separate column
Reward First person to create this program, or point me towards a current program the meets these requirements will be sent 100m isk.
Let me know if you have any questions, thanks, Ender2006

Currently the method I use for this sort of inventory is as follows:
Open assets tab Open notepad in game Drag each item into notepad with text only option Hit enter between entries Copy/paste into Excel 2007 Enter quantity from each item into Excel spreadsheet manually using dual screen. It works but its clunky since I can't see into containers/cargoholds and have to enter a lot manually

jEveAssets isn¦t exactly what you want, but it¦s probably close, if I¦ve understood you correctly. It¦s also still under development.
The developer is very responsive to requests.

holy crap, that is almost identical to what I need, and has many added features I didn't think to request :) The java interface is nice and works well on my machine. Can export asset search results into an Excel file and even set pricing/ Very nice program.
Thanks, isk reward on its way. Also looking for the creator (golden gnu?) so I can send isk his way as well.

only two slight problems.
1.) when I uploaded all my accounts/chars and it inventoried all 274,569,412 items, its dynamic nature and filtering basically meant it slowed to a standstill. Same problems itunes and such has with hundreds of thousands of songs.
2.) can't seem to differentiate between bpc and bpo's which screws up valuations a bit.

1.) I¦d suggest you post in his thread.
2.) It can¦t because Eve doesn¦t differentiate in-game. If you look at the Suggestions forum, you¦ll find a fair few threads asking for that. Same problem for any item not included in the market interface, such as faction ships and items. That¦s why there¦s a facility in the app to manually adjust prices.
