Just thought that I'd point out that ALL of the attributes are mental in nature (or at least neurological).
On the attribute tab of your char sheet you'll notice the little pictures of the brain beside each attribute that have a different portion highlighted. The highlighted area corresponds (roughly) to the portion of the brain that is most responsible for the cognitive activities that each attribute represents.
The basic set of learning skills were just that. They prime the brain for the most basic elements of learning which are memorization and cognition.
The advanced learning skills take learning to the next step where new information is quickly processed into automatic patterens rather than remembered instructions. Due to the nature of this method of learning it is more specific to the attribute in question as it's that attribute which needs to be trained in order to facilitate the creation of reflexive pattern recognition.
*Rereads what he just wrote...* Gah, if you want that in plain english try asking someone you know who's taken courses in psychology. They should be able to haul out a textbook with the diagrams and such that apply. Makes alot more sense with pictures :P

Unless the retail skill is like the scout drone skill i.e. there's a base level and the skill adds to that? So everyone has a base of say 100 orders and the skills improve upon that? Had a look on Shiva pages and it doesn't explicity state that the limit is 150, though I haven't read through every post on the market so can't be sure.

Ive found that even for short term training I really get a benefit from getting the 2 attributes each skill needs to level 5. Sure takes a month out of your fun training but then its over and every other train after that is noticably faster.
I can see these advanced skills even for shorter term players. Especially the 2 they use the most.

I think I'd like to see 1-2 additional higher level trade skills allowing even more items. Say 200 (level 6 skill) and 500 per level (level 8 skill), with prereq of level 5 in the prior skill. This would cover about everyone presently out there I think. -D

X'Alor, i have all normal learning skills at lvl 5 since first month of playing. They were they first that were trained. As i have payed for 6 montahs and the return in skilltime is calculated to be after 3 months i thought it a wise choice

Advance skils i like. Especially if there skills that take 45 days or more too train.
Only there is 1 setback.
The max of clone is now 19,2Mil Skillpoints or Grade++++ clone
So if they bring advance skils i hope they will bring in clone's upgrade also fast because the older players are have them already too 14 or 15 skillpoints at least.
Or those advance skills are invain for older players. Because they stayed docked and go too play an other game.
