From: TES Admiral Kominski (Abaddon class) Location: [classified] Commanding Officer: Adm. Rodj Blake, PIE-CEO
---START TRANSMISSION---
When the Shokorites launched their cowardly and unprovoked attack on the Empire nearly four years ago, PIE was amongst the first to answer the call and join the 24th Imperial Crusade to defend our families and our way of life.
Since then, PIE has often punched well above its weight. We were at the forefront of the campaign to secure the remains of St Aman in the Kourmonen system. We have in the past regularly appeared in top ten lists for the highest number of kills. We were the first podder-controlled body to amass one million victory points, and to this day we have more victory points than any other Amarrian corporation.
However, those successes have come at a cost. PIE exists to promote the causes of God and Empire throughout the cluster, and our work with the militia has meant that our other duties have been neglected.
It is with this in mind that we have elected to cease our formal ties to the militia and redeploy to outside of the current theatre of war in order to work towards other objectives.
We leave a militia that has many corporations ideologically dedicated to the Empire and the Amarrian way of life - corporations that are in many ways better suited to the Empyrean War than PIE. Groups such as the Amarr 7th Fleet are capable units and we trust them to continue to take the fight to the Shakorites and provide the Crusade with victory after victory.
I'm sure that there will be some speculation regarding our next base of operations. I will not go into any specifics here for what I hope are obvious reasons.
I want to emphasise that although we are leaving the militia, we are not abandoning them. Selected militia corps will qualify for discounted T2 ships, and there will be times in the future when we will rejoin for a period of time or declare war on specific corps working for the Republic. We will also continue to maintain offices with stocked hangars in the region, and may from time-to-time patrol through the warzone.
---END TRANSMISSION--- Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori. |

I'm sure the destination will no doubt have comfortable station quarters.
I would like to see some new PIE campaigns, though! The holo-films these days are dreadful and I could go for a good show.

The Praetoria have always and will always hold a special place in my heart, and not just because I married one of the Admirals. PIE set me on the path to becoming a good capsuleer, and more importantly a good man. I am still trying to walk that road and while I know not if I will reach the destination, I will always honor the place where I began the journey.
You may call upon the Knighthood at any time and we will be at your side.
My God smile upon your new path. |

The timing of this seems rather oddly coincidental, given the upcoming changes to docking protocols. You sure they're not related in the slightest, Rodj?
In any case, it should be interesting to see what sorts of mischief PIE gets into. I'll keep an eye and an ear out.
Though, minor nitpick... do show your opponents a little respect, given it seems it's frequently asked of them: it's "Shakorite", not "Shokorite". |

In the high Amarrian dialect "sha" sounds like sh+¦, but not to be confused with shGÖé or shGÖï. |

In some circles, Shakorite shock troops are referred to as Shokorites. Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori. |

That's not what I was saying at all.
But if it was, then I should probably be excused for my verbosity since I haven't had as much practice in explaining these things as you.

I am quite sure that PIE, and the good admiral, are well aware of what, exactly, my opinion of them is.
Speaking of that... Rodjy, I asked awhile ago to join your little "nonAmarrian" organization and never recieved a reply.
I'm hurt.

None so mighty as a well chosen words, none so intimidating than seeing an Apocalypse fleet piloted by PIE forces. For all our differences, one thing I won't accuse PIE of is cowardice. When they stand, they stand firm. Toppled them many times before but they gave as well as they got, my insurance company very nearly disowned me |

Having had close ties to PIE at one time, it was always of my opinion that the empyrean conflict was holding PIE back from their full potential. I wish PIE the best of luck in their future endeavours and would like nothing more than to have a chance to fight one of their golden fleets now that they are no longer obligated to pvp in the warzone and can broaden their horizons elsewhere.

My employment history shows nothing of the sort Mr Blake. I can't remember any of those corps running away from losing battles...like PIE are. And you also fail to point out those which have done so.
Try again you twisted little maggot....
Bow your head in disgrace and just accept who and what you are. Everyone can see your running from a losing battle. _____________________________________________________ Power is not something that is granted - it is something to be taken. Join channel "Sani Sabik" if you wish to find out more. |

What your employment history shows is regular flip-flopping between corps supporting Minmatar emancipation, Sani Sabik corps (who generally aren't known for their pro-Minmatar views), and common pirates.
Sometimes you don't only jump corps when the going gets tough, you jump philosophies as well.
PIE on the other hand has always fought for the Empire, currently fights for the Empire, and will always fight for the Empire. Dulce et decorum est pro imperium mori. |
