I live in Iceland and we also do not have a Wendy's any more. Of the 2 choices, then I agree it is Wendy's by a long shot.

I work at a major airport in the states. After the excellent customer service I get at the McDs there every time I go to them, I have to say Wendy's. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

I live in Iceland. I prefer going to restaurants that serve food, unlike Wendy's and McDonalds.

Neither. If you really gotta have heart clogging goodness then go to the hole in the wall truck stop diner. The place usually looks like **** but the food is bar none compared to the mass produced **** that fast food serves.

We used to have Wendys in the UK but they up and disappeared some years back I'll probably pay one a visit when I'm in NYC later this month, kinda a guilty pleasure. Neither are particularly nice though...it only takes minutes after finishing something purchased from there before my body starts protesting, as if to say "Why did you do this to me?". -------------

I'm a vegetarian so it doesn't really matter to me but if I had to choose I'll go with Wendy's for its baked potato.

Both have their ups and downs.
Wendys:
+Frostys +High degree of meal customization +Open salad bar -sub par chilli -fries arnt the greatest -somewhat large time between order and getting it
McDonalds: +Ussually get your food within 2 minutes +Best fries of all the fast food chains +Great breakfast selection +Decent dollar menu -You take a risk when ordering a really customized meal -chances of getting a 10 minute under the heat lamp order is good around lunch time -their slogan guy needs to be shot. WTF is "im lovin it!"?!
Ultimately it depends on what I want. If I want a desert ill always go to wendys. If I want a breakfast or fries, ill always to to McDonalds. On an unrelated note, Kneel before Zod! |

Wendy's by far
and at McRonalds you are least likely to get old ****ty food when they are busy. as well the volume of turnover is much higher, and they are more likely to have managers who actually care about that whole wasting when the timer goes beep, rather then just turning the timer off.
I would avoid the grilled chicken however, as the default timer is 60mins for that, and well it is a pain to make so it usually sits there for much longer. gets put in a tray with water in it so it doesn't completely dry out. I ate it around 3-4am once knowing it had been there since before 10pm, wasn't too bad, but it scares me to think of how processed it is
their bacon is also pretty ****ty imo.
If you can't tell by now I worked at McDonalds for a while. the night shift did have some benefits, like free food, and well applepie McFlurries are fantastic, same with Chocolate Chip Cookie McFlurries, and shakes at 6am. mmm going into the freezer and getting frozen cookies was the best. and the chipotle snackwraps were invented about 10 mins after my friend learned to make a snackwrap for the first time.

Of the American chains I prefer BK. The Swedish ones are infinitely more enjoyable though. MAX ftw. -----

I wouldn't eat a burger at either place. Chicken sandwiches on the other hand I might consider if I'm on a really long drive somewhere. McDonald's roasted chicken club sandwich is pretty darn good actually, but Wendy's has a spicy chicken thing that's also good. I never get fries unless I'm really starved, and Wendy's has the better fries by far.

only thing I eat at McDonalds is the Delis now, since they're really nice, not too greasy and usually quite cheap. Oh and Mcflurries but I rarely ever have those
It still dosen't beat a Subway though
(never even seen a Wendys...)

You're a Swede? I always thought you were a Septic for some reason.
I used to love Wendys burgers up in London's West End, but it shut some time ago.
I always wondered why they pulled out of the UK, but never looked it up until tonight. Wikepedia has the answer here, towards the bottom:

I hope you know that KFC can no longer call themselves "Kentucky Fried Chicken" anymore because the "chickens" they use have been genetically debeaked and defeathered.
