The situation is this, I have an Orca in 0.0. It's in a station recently taken over by hostile forces. I have an alt in that station. I wouldn't consider this a horrible thing since I can simply sell off the ship... except I can't contract it to be sold.
You cannot create a contract of a container that contains a container.
In this case I have ships in the orcas hanger bay with mining crystals and the like in them. Is there any way to 'fix' this remotely? Or am I destined to try to sneak myself into the overtaking alliance or one of its blues to free my ship?

I would wait. Wait for you moment. Then, when your alliance brings the pain with gusto and draws your foes away from your hidden treasure, you make a run for it. Er.. well, a plodding jog for it. Your trusty Cov Ops pilot who is hiding out a system away on your escape route does a quick recon and your on your way. Er.. well, a plodding jog for it. Now that, would be an interesting day.
Other than that I'd think your toast. Infiltrating a corp in the alliance/that is blue might be your best bet. You only have to have a char in there for a short time after all. -----------------------------------------------

I had a very similar situation happen to me. I had left a clone with the orca though so when the time was right i was able to sneak it out of there.
If you don't have a clone there and cannot contract the orca you unfortunately have joined the ranks of those with assets locked in hostile stations. You can wait for the station to change hands, or you can try your luck at getting temporary clearance to dock from whom ever owns the station now. You might also see if you can repackage remotely, I can't remember right now if you can or not.
Best of luck to you

If your alt has the orca in his hangar, you can right-click--->open ship maintenance array and take out the other ships. Contractable!
Otherwise, yeah, you'll have to repackage. Rigs will be destroyed, but all ships and fittings will pop off and be in your hangar. |

Reading comprehension FTL...
"Alt" means "Not the owner"...
He could have the Alt fly the ship out, if he could CONTRACT is over from his Main. But he can't Contract it over, because it has ships in it. |

Edited by: Kell Braugh on 11/07/2009 12:48:08 Welcome to the world amarr pilots have been living in for years. Uncontractable unless you loose you rigs ships in inaccessable stations... Even worse when your ship is damaged.
edit: if your corp still has an office there, you can drop in the hanger and take it out with your alt get to it. - In essence, any combat related activity involving damage has been 'speed nerfed' to just take 6 times longer with a predetermined outcome coined balance by CCP. |

You imply that this affect amarr pilots moreso than other races. Elaborate?

Because partially used faction and T2 laser crystals count as damaged, preventing you contracting any amarr gunboat which has anything but T1 crystals in it,
