You tell us, you want to streamline things by removing the right click options and tell us in the same minute to use shift-klick. If you think, an overly full rc-menu is a problem, because it is bad design, how do you think about hidden functionality like shift-clicking on stuff?
[rant]Why bothering with rc-menues at all? we have left-ctrl, left-alt, lelft-shift, caps-lock, right-shift, right-alt and right-control keys. making wonderful 7 possibilities times leff-mouse button and right mouse button, making 16 possibilities of clicks. no more menus at all. Lets combine the buttons: 7 keys makes 128 possibilities times 2 for the two mouse buttons we have 256 possibilities. No need for any more keys at all, or buttons on screan, we could just do everything with meta keys.[/rant]
Honestly: showing the player the options he has is always better than relying on him/her remembering combinations. Always. Not only in Games, but in any kind of soft- or hardware. Everytime. |

I'm not a beta tester , and not paying to be one either . I'll understand Eve is a complicated game (and luckely for Eve) the only one of it's kind .
But deploying an update/patch with known bugs (see Test Server Feedback) is just too much . I'v swallowed CQ's and other stuff I didn't like , but this one beats them all .

Theres other things ive discovered since recording that but ill experiment with that and make another video if necessary.
As it stands, new hanger might look ok, but its harder and less intuitive to use and takes longer and more mouse clicks to do absolutely everything. This change is NOT WELCOME at all. |

I think you hit the 2 biggest problems in my opinion, windows not saving location/staying open when you dock/undock. And the whole, you have no idea what ship your putting stuff in. I also name all my tacklers the same, and drakes the same, and cyno ships the same. I have no idea which is which in the list.
These are 2 of the biggest issues with the current inventory. If these 2 were fixed or figured out, i might be able to live with the fact that using the new UI actually takes longer.... |

I'm salvaging a mission in my Noctis. When I click to loot all, it takes 4-5 seconds for it to actually loot. Then I'm stuck with this huge ungodly window open that completely obscures the screen. So, now I have to resize it when I'm looting, and resize it back when I'm not looting and looking for stuff? Add in a couple more seconds every time I close the window or even just looting another wreck and the game becomes unplayable. It's no longer a smooth operation salvaging a mission.
It's a royal pain in the ass looting wrecks. I honestly can't believe anyone tested this when they were salvaging a mission. Seriously.
And, when I drop the stuff off in my hanger, it's 42 seconds to dump the stuff into my hanger. 42 seconds where I can't do anything but watch the items SLOWLY move over. And 18 seconds to "sort all". Really? Come on. Please don't do this to me.
PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY, GIVE US BACK THE OLD INVENTORY. |

Please see 37 pages of people providing detailed use cases where the new Inventory UI does not meet customer needs. CCP was well aware of the customer dissatisfaction with their proposed change.

This is something I'm very glad of, I always have my items and ships hangars combined and was glad to see them still intact, though having my active ships removed from the icons in the hangar rather than just being highlighted was not something I expected. Never thought I'd see a design feature like that again, I hoped those kind of bad usability features had died out in the 90s. If the Sims all became zombies it would be easy to escape them, just shove them in a room and make them answer the telephone. |

What windows? I do not have windows I could use. Do you mean the SHIFT + CLICK -Crap? I demand seperate windows. Not a list of Wrecks in one window if I want to loot my mission. |

Our corp tried to pew pew today and we couldnt simply change our ships quickly because ALL structures in the grid must be loaded! Do you know, HOW many structures could be around PoSes? You are fantastic guys, no, realy. More coolest idea I cant imagine.
Are you testing your new stuff properly????
And poping up of this new UI after almost all jumps through gates and WHs is anoying!!! |

New issues in UI:
- In the tree, the Items are AFTER the ships. But most of the time when I move stuff it is between a ship and the items hangar ... as a result I have to collapse the ships list, else the items are unreachable. (papercut)
- shift click to split items or to move a part of an item stack does'nt allways work if you do it several times in a row.
My main ship also has gone in low-resolution (a claymore), I will reset the cache and check if it fixes that. Other ships I have don't have the problem (as far as I have checked them). |

Not gonna read all the thread, so my 2 cents are: 1. The EVE Launcher starts every time and I have to manually press PLAY each time although i have checked the tickbox that says "...launch only when new patch available..."
2. I CANNOT LAUNCH TWO INSTANCES OF THE CLIENT BY USING THE SAME DESKTOP ICON LIKE I'VE DONE FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS. Some **** regarding processes, closing ExeFile.exe and whatnot. This doesn't even deserve proper constructive criticism, it's just plain stupid. |

selected item window wont do anything. if i select align, warp to, jump etc. it just ignores my command, i have to go back to rt click on the overview to be able to carry out the operation. |

Seems like most people here are like me and are not in favour of the new UI interface.
I will add some constructive user information about it, which I sure needs to be fixed.
Senario: I want more than one UI open for my station cans numbered 1 & 2. Solution: hold down SHIFT and double click on the station cans numbered 1 & 2.
Hey presto you have more than one UI open cans 1 & 2.
Now go back to station can 1 and carry out your shift held double click.
Station can 1 opens in a new window again and so will any other can that you hold SHIFT down while double clicking.
The result is that you will have the same station container open in unlimited windows, where the can should be only opened once like it used before todays update / launch.
Again just me two cents.

I log in a character in a nullsec system and see 11 people in local, 4 of them blues. But no fleet. So I ask on comms and it turns out that no one is actually online in that system. The neuts/reds are probably not there either. But local says otherwise. Relogging doesn't help. What's going on? Winner of elections banned, runner-up demoted by rest of the body, the council controlled by the losers. CSM 7 is illegitimate, CCP should remember when dealing with them. Remember what players voted for. |
