This means I can't work from my POS at all, not to mention it's broken and makes me . Please fix, bug report incoming in game. Interesting how you state emphatically that you love the new inventory system. Then a few sentences later you state it is broken and makes you sad. I apologize, but that seems either contradictory or very fickle.
The problem is that all the inefficiency we see now is inherent to the design. It's not bugs, per se. CCP had the chance to fix this based upon player feedback in a lengthy thread, and they didn't listen. They published what you see now. So will they fix it? Who knows... |

Change for the sake of change is JUST change. The new side-bar, ship hanger, items etc is un-necessarily complicated for, it seems, no other reason for the design team to justify their existence. The was NOTHING wrong with the old set-up. NOTHING at all. Dated? Yes, complicated? NO. Useless change is still useless. Still havent flown the ship outside to see the new effects, maybe that will make the expansion all worth while but based on the new hanger changes alone? Not worth the effort tbh. You tried too hard and failed. Want to swear to express how angry and dissapointed I am in this but it would serve no point as CCP wont/dont/never listen anyway

Inconsistent behavior:
1. In the index select "Item Hangar" 2. In the item pane, double-click a container. 3. Container opens in inventory window.
1. In the index select "Ship Hangar" 2. In the item pane, double-click a ship. 3. Ship becomes active ship.
The inventory window is inventory. Double-click should always open containers, including ships. It should not change the active ship.
Problem behavior:
Items do not show locked status (at least in my testing).
Current container configurations appear to be broken, showing 'unlocked' for placed items, but locking them when moved. -- Resetting container configuration seems to resolve this, but damn it, having to redo all containers every time there's a patch is really annoying.
General feedback: This system is poorly thought out and is pretty useless for anyone dealing with large numbers of items. I'm disappointed.

I like others don't usually post on the forums but I have to say something about the new UI. I agree with the other people who have said that its awful. I have been playing the game for seven years and everything I do requires seperate windows to be open. The changes I have seen today have made the simple operation of dropping items into you hangar more complicated and time consuming. The fact that every windows closes when you session change is an epic failure as far as i'm concerned. Please can we have an option to turn off this new "improvement" and please can i have my seperate ship hangar back and for god sake please stop changing things that are not broken! |

Yeah, I'm generally okay with unified inventory, but it is *awful* at POSs
You have: - 15-20s inventory loadtimes with the index open when arriving on grid as it attempts to load every little POS gun and hangar array - Massive screens of POS modules that make it impossible to find what you want, and being as you can't rename half the structures or resort/filter anything it's a massive UI mess. I now have to browse in between about 20 guns to find what I want. - No functionality added, because i still have to be within 2.5k to access or view anything.
In short, I have a massive, hard to use window, that takes forever to load, that does absolutely nothing helpful.
Suggestions: - Move the inventory of defense modules into their own sub-menu under starbase structures, so it looks like: \/ Starbase Structures > Corporate Hangar Array > Ship Maintenance Array (etc..) \/ Starbase Defense Structures > Medium Pulse Laser Battery (etc...)
This one absolutely has to be done, it's just nonfunctional otherwise.
- Let us rename more structures at POSs or alter the sorting of the left side index.
-Remove the range-related view limitation on structure contents. You're probably loading the stuff anyway, just let us view it!
Thanks. |

I literally don't want to play EVE right now with the inventory in this state. It should remember my window states between session changes and opening loot containers should be done in a separate window to avoid confusion. Tabs worked perfectly and were easy to manage, the new sidebar is not very usable unless you take up a large amount of screen real-estate, and even then it doesn't handle simple tasks (such as looting) nearly as well as the older tabbed system did.
There really needs to be some quality of life iteration done on the inventory before the game is bearable for simple tasks. A good place to start is window state memory. +1 in local |

first off, CCP why do you keep messing with things that are not broken(Like the inventory UI) when there are so many things in your game that are? (the client not notifying the user when it disconnects, new feature balancing, Pos mechanics, lag etc..)
As for your shiny new UI..... it just sucks. Yes it looks cool. Yes, I'm I'm sure it's useful in some way. But you're forcing it on people and that's not cool.
some problems that really annoy me in that 10 minutes I've been using it. There is no way to access any of the capital ship hangar arrays, or corporate hangar arrays without using.
Your new free system, your UI programmers seem to think that it is part of the cargo. And have completely remove the buttons on the right-click menu both on your capacitor and your ship.
There is no way to open up a corporate hangar the old method( the useful method ) you are completely forced into the new method (that is completely unusable and clunky, and makes me want to shoot myself in the head.)
Pos mechanics, highly affected by this because now instead of every single hangar/silo(That you can't name because that feature broke a long time ago and you never bothered to fix it)/Fuel bay. Tries to open up in the same damn window, closing the previous one you had open. Instead of opening up a new window that remembers its previous position(the new UI doesn't remember positions at all).
and the worst part about all of this is that you told all of this multiple times in the test server feedback , which you ignored.
TL;DR -- The right-click to access your ship hanger array and your CHA on capital ships have been removed ( whoever's responsible for that needs their head examined.) -- the unified inventory system just sucks, and you force it on us (there's no way to turn it off or go around it in most cases) -- you can hide the tree, however all access to corporate assets require use of the tree. -- because of the unified inventory system, combined with other broken pos, that you never fixed. Has resulted in pos maintenance being 100 times more painful. -- CCP ignored test server feedback, about the unified inventory system's usability. ---
Things you could do to fix this, give the ability to opt out of the new UI system, and keep using the old way |

Great work CCP!
As a producer/inventor I like the unified inventory most - thx it works great for me so far - thumbs up and +10 for the developer team.
BUT: A crucial part is still missing. That is the ability to STACK BPO's and BPC's (that have same ME, PE, etc.). In fact, that was/is the most important point for me and I was hoping you would implement it finaly as the dev blog picture showed (cf. http://cdn1.eveonline.com/www/newssystem/media/28129/1/Inventory_Blog_New_Inventory.png).
Hence the so-called 'scroll yourself to death problem' has not solved at all for producers and inventors.
Anyways, my hope dies at last - c'mon CCP: "Yes, you can do it!" Q: Do you have that issue on your priority list already? Please tell me you have
Thx in advance and best regards Luna |

The unified inventory takes some getting used to, but so far I like it. I have a few comments.
- Now that item windows works like file browsers, i really miss having a 'back' button to return to the previous view.
- It's not possible to open several containers with one action anymore. This used to be possible by selecting all containers and using the right-click->open option. This makes container handling in cargo bays a bit of a pain.
- Window setting should be stored on a pr. window basis. In my station hangars I might want the tree list, but keep it hidden for cargo bays. The same should go for window sizes of course. Someone else mentioned POS arrays and I can imagine the horror in this respect too.
- I would like to have shortcuts for different types of windows that can be put in the Neocom. One button opens cargo bay with one set of settings, another button opens hangar with another set of settings. If any view and its settings can be made into a shortcut, that would really put the versatility to good use.
- Currently default behaviour is to keep the old window when opening a container, an option to change this behaviour to opening a new window every time is something I think a lot of people could use. This would be similar to how info windows works.
Some positives as well.
- The way that volume is shown in various contexts is very useful. I love that.
- The estimated value of an item or stack of items seems very useful. It may be slightly off sometimes, but showing the price used for the calculations allows users to asses the precision of the estimation.
- I haven't played with the filters much, but so far it seems that they can prove very handy.

E-diot of the Year Prize goes to CCP (again) for the New Totally Useless and Annoying Inventory Function!
Supposedly I have to fully fit a large amount of ships on regular basis and I have items organized in station warehouses for rapid 1-click individually access. How can I still see all ships in my ship hangar and open all station containers and ship's cargo holds + items in station, ALL at the same time AAAND make them remember window sizes and location on screen?
I have about 10-20 station containers/warehouses on each different station I use for industry, invention, manufacturing, contracting, etc. Do I have to set ALL the windows EVERY time I dock?
Why do I have to reset my settings/cache to get rid of that Inventory-Window-Always-Opens-When-I-Undock/Jump bug? Aren't you capable of implementing new content without messing up the cache and setting? Too hard to make it backwards compatible? This happened with every single expansion.
It would've been much more easier and useful if you only implemented the filter function on (items, cargo, warehouse, station containers, etc) windows next to view type option and make it optional!
I don't want to see how many items I have in that particular window or how much they cost. This info only occupies space. Make it's visibility optional.
I want double-click on ships to open their cargoholds, like it used to, not to activate it like it does now.
Basically, you made things easier only for ppl that have a couple of ships and some 10ish items on a station (beginners), but for all other players that poses a large number of ships and a huge amount of items, you made things WORSE! Access to items and ships is NOT easier, but much more complicated now!
ROLL IT BACK! (or make it optional)
