Not entirely true. Think of it like a learning experience. Like dipping a child in a pool to get them used to water. EVE tends to be more like tying an anchor to that child and throwing it in a lake. It will either A.) learn quickly to swim with an anchor tied to it, B.) drown, or C.) evolve gills. So C is rather unlikely and there is no need to risk drowning the child, but the development of gills would help the overall survival of humanity so it is entirely worth it.

i would like gills, i would also like to be number one poster. Meh well least i will get one of the 2 in my life time :)
