Hi all,
I got rather nostalgic today, and decided to return to eve-o after a long absence - I was rather concerned as I used to be part of a 0.0 alliance, and all my items, my character etc were out in 0.0 in a player own station.
Naturally after a year of being gone things change and move along - so I was worried about getting all my items.
However whilst downloading my game client, I decided to have a look at some of my assets etc via API, to try to plan a jump out of the system with my carrier - only to notice that my character and active ship was moved to a 0.7 system - unfortunately this means all my assets in the 0.0 station are inaccessible - I know you may think, maybe he moved a year ago when he last played....however I know I have been moved as I am kinda sitting in a 0.7 system in my carrier....I know I couldnt get into that system back in the day - unless they changed the ability to cyno into a system above 0.5?
Any ideas, did CCP make some changes in the last year that caused a movement of characters out of certain 0.0 stations? and if so, why only move your active ship and not your assets in your hangar too?

I hear they do that if you go inactive for 6months. hasn't happened to me so I can't really give you the details. |

For some reason a bunch of old, inactive characters got moved to hisec, but I can't find why right now. This means there are actually capital ships scattered all across hisec, though technically they're not supposed to be there. Have fun! You can't have fun in highsec in a capital. They have strict rules, any attempt to attack a player even in a wardec will result in GM intervention. All you can do is ship spin or cyno out to lowsec. |

Yep, as soon as you undock the carrier I believe you can't redock it in a high-sec station.
It's undock > cyno out to low > happy using that carrier Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. We are not running, we are advancing in the opposite direction |

I believe there's a script that moves players that have been inactive for over six months to their home/medical clone station (not sure what the criteria is exactly, since it's usually highsec). It's designed for exactly these cases when people would be stuck in 0.0 stations they couldn't redock out, but it can be a pain with assets you can't reach. Just firesale your stuff via contract or remotely and be glad you didn't have to risk jumping your carrier out, I suppose? |
