Does anyone know by what transportation methods I can get from Keflavik to Reykjavik, and what that would cost me? And is there some form of public transportation going from around the harbor to Fanfest?

There are shuttle buses from KEF to the hotels in Reykjavik. Last I was there, there were terminals for automatically buying tickets for them.

The links from Jinx Dentons fanfest guide seem to be working still. And based on that the FlyBus seems to be the way to go when moving between the city and the airport.
From the same guide you can get this wonderful url http://bus.is/english and according to it moving from the centrum to the target area is not that hard.
Can someone tell us where can we get those three day tickets to these buses? The site has a list of addresses but those runes mean nothing to me...

for those who feel a bit lost on their first time - its quite likely that if you shout "any other Eve players here" at the bus terminal there will be people answering you. :)
Most likely you should be able to find some iceland visit vets who know how to get to Reykjavik (its really not that hard). Director of Education :: EVE University Chairman of the CSM

Eve-Online Fanfest is proud to announce that for one night only ô2 Many DJsö will be headlining the Party On The Top Of The World on the 3rd of October at Laugardalsh÷ll. The Belgian Dewaele brothers, David and Stephen are well known for their combination with Stefaan Van Leuven, Steve Slingeneyer and Dave Martijn, who together formed the incredibly popular band Soulwax.
The trip to Iceland may be cold, yet the band will be met by open arms. Not only does Too Many DJÆs have a huge fan following in Reykjavik, but their sound- a mix of electrorock and clever sampling also shares similar themes with EVE-Online videos, soundtracks and inspirations. The creators of the highly popular Sci-fi game have opened the doors for the whole of Reykjavik to come to one of the largest and most creative parties that Laugardalsh÷ll Convention Center will ever hold.
We will discontinue ticket sales on Account Management on Monday. You will still be able to get your tickets at the Fanfest venue!
Best regards, CCP Tyr

Wait, are you saying that we - the very +lite of society - will be forced to party with commoners? This is an outrage!
Nah, in all seriousness it sounds pretty epic, and so does 2 Many DJs as well. I honestly haven't heard that much of their music which is a shame since I really like that style. Yet another reason to go to fanfest it seems.

I'm guessing the reason you are GLAD to announce this, is because you'll be standing next to the signup-sheets, laughing at all the still drunken people that manage to wake up in time and move their bodies to the FF area, trying to sign their name with a blurry vision?
I mean, come on, it's the FF, you don't think anyone that wants to go Dev Drinking is going to be SOBER on friday morning, are you?

I don't really think you'll have to shout, you can probably tell by the looks of the other arrivals why they are in Iceland. The last 5 years I've never had a problem finding other people that were EVE geeks in the airport. First year was kinda tricky, but listening to a conversation made it easier to tell. Every other year since then, people have been wearing EVE or other game-related clothing.
But if you do have to shout, just yell "Anyone else fly a titan?" and you'll be the centre of attention instantly. There's your travelbuddies...

You can take the FlyBus from the airport to your hotel, you can book the trip in advance (and also the trip back to the airport at the end of your stay). Total cost for a pickup and return is about 4000 ISK, or Ç22/$32.

Any option for us non-alcohol types to come along and party with the Devs? I don't drink alcoholic stuff at all, but I like a good party as much as the next guy.

I'm pretty sure that drinking is not mandatory, and someone will be quite willing to do your Brennivfn shots for you.

Very true, if all goes well, that'll have to be the arrangement then.
That's assuming I can go at all now. Injured my elbow in a nasty fall last night, going to see a doctor or 1st aid station today to have it looked at, but my left arm is currently quite useless and very painful to move at certain angles. Not sure if it's a good idea to go semi-handicapped, but I'll let the medical types tell me that.

About the EvE bar... will there be EvE related items on the menu?
I for one would so like to enjoy Rusty Nail drinks while acting all Caldari and snickering at matari ships... drinking and role-playing is so much fun. I am not saying that the rusty nail is automatically EvE related, but will there be Quafe or something else...
Sadly I found out that they did not have all the components for rusty nails available this night, so I am a bit sad
