Well It finally happened, probably a little to quick lol. I started the game around 2 weeks ago. I was jamming right along on the missions and boom. I picked up the mission worlds collide. I think I was on the 4th part and thought sure it will be easy just like the others. Well, nope i jumped in and got my ass handed to me. Tried warping out but not fast enough. Not feeling satisfied ( I had insurance on my Merlin) I picked up a new one and fitted it again. BOOM, again, now I am grinind some cash back and Will not go back until I have some more skills lol. Well just my little story.
By the way this game is great, it ruins MMO'S like world of crapcraft 9the Dr. Sues of MMO'S imho! I love eve and won't be going anywhere!

Oh I'm not knocking the noob part.
It's just all these threads the last few days that have been (whatever the opposite of complaining is) about the game. It just seems unnatural. Like somewhere the gods in charged of keeping balance are saving up for something very very big down the road. This much positive energy can never be good.

Oh ok, I see. Well this game does rock, I just wish I would have found it back in the day. It has limited exposure, with exception to now. Every website I am on has an ad. I Have 26 of my former clan mates joining in 2 weeks :) I'll keep grinding to help the game grow.
I can't wait to get enough SP's to get in a corp. I only have like 400k lol.

:) yeah I am thinking more towards exploration, buzz in and out really fast not fight. Even though I love a fight, I am getting the sense that it's not for that.

And then this one time, my carebear nature got the best of me and I went ratting in a carrier...details not required, but there was a 40 man gank fleet involved near the end of the story.
Noob times indeed!

This is merely surplus awesome emitting from the winter expansion. Noobs aren't bitter enough (yet) to be unaffected by it, so they go all joy on the forum. -------- Ideas for: Mining

yeah, wow damn lol. Well the only thing that reallu sucked, after the second time I had like 30k left after my insurance paid be back. So I had to buy the crappy stuff lol. The civ guns and such. So i am stuck with them until I find more missions. But no biggy, eve goes on :) makes it worthwhile.. well sometimes when you can actually lose something.

Edited by: Zartanic on 02/08/2009 11:19:40 Well If it makes you feel better, I lost 90% of my hard earned ISK several weeks ago as I was too bloody minded to give up (it was an Arc mission). But its easy come, easy go and when I succeeded It was worth all the loss.
As someone hinted, in some missions you do not have to fight much at all unless you want to.

When I was a young player I always rejected Worlds Collide lvl 1 (except for that first time...). Picked it up when I started doing lvl 4 missions.

Well its the advertising but also the fact that the majority of hard core WOW players (yes, they existed) have stopped that game since WOW was dumbed down to dribbling monkey level.

Worlds Collide - destroyer of noobs.
Worlds Collide is perhaps THE most dangerous level 1 mission in the game. It has been the cause of death of so many frigates since as long as I have been in this game.
There are a few key strategies you can use to help yourself win. Most important to a new player is that the second room (which ever one you pick) can be completely ignored. All you have to do is head straight to the acceleration gate and activate it. This will take you to the battlefield where there is a damaged heron. Here you must destroy all NPC rats before the damaged heron will allow you access to get your mission loot. It is easiest if you fit an afterburner and long range weapons so that you can "kite" the NPC rats.
