Titan Bridging is a fail concept that only allows large fleets to quickly move from one end of EVE to the other... what fun is that... If alliances want to own large tracks of space... let them protect it the old fashion way... let them earn it.

so what role do you see titans filling if the bridge was nerfed?

maybe the role of a huge 15 Km warship that has more tank then anything else in game?

I hope you're joking...a titans tank can easily be overcome, and only a ****** would let it stay on the field longer then it take to fire the DD and warp out.

Unless you make it high enough to tank a dread fleet, it will still be the same thing, and a ship tanking a few hundred k dps would be overpowered. A Titan doesn't have anything it can do when in the actual fight anyway. F.e. an avatar does 1800 dps with 6 XL pulse lasers with faction mult, 3x makurs heatsinks (aka as good as it gets) and 5 T2 ogres, max skills. Considering the tracking, a BS will do the same amount of dps. Noone would deploy a 80b ship for it. There is nothing wrong with jump bridges anyway, the range isn't that long, if you want to move a fleet to the other side of the galaxy with it you'd have to make ALOT of jumps, risking your titan on every one of them since it can't cyno to a station and dock, and if you cyno to a pos it can be tackled there. It is perfectly balanced.

Titans have one purpose... that is to DD... Is that not enough?

Titan bridging in itself is ok as it is.
However, titan bridging in lowsec clearly is not, as the titan is completely invulnerable there. (If anyone doubt that, feel free to offer a way to kill one apart from metagaming).

The kill-carrier-and-almost-a-dread-with-DDs event not long ago prooved that nerfing the DD is very much needed, and much higher priority then this. If the DD is nerfed, and the bridge removed, the titan is useless.

HIC point it when it jumps in, then bump it to make sure it can't get into the shields. I guess it could make sense if it was forced to exit the shield before being able to open the bridge though to give it a small amount of vulnerability even after it's in place. A titan shouldn't be easy to kill, if it is, it gets pointless.

That would mean you have to know exactly when it jumps to which POS, or have a HIC (or rather, multiple HICs, like 10 to fully cover a large POS?) at every POS in lowsec, or at least every POS the titan-owning entity operates.

Exactly this. Never said it should be easy, but at least not impossible.
Another option would be to restrict the bridge to 0.0, but I'm not really a fan of that.

Exactly...and that is coming from an alliance that now has how many? Owns how much space in game? Is that space even conquerable now? Or is this out of control, because of the Titan? A large percentage feel the Titan has already ruined the game.

Okay so apparently every aspect of the titan needs nerfing now? Have any of you actually seen a titan in action? Have any of you fought them? Have any of you flown them?
Yes the titan DD is powerful and all but a few sub battleships can survive its power. But it has a 15 second delay so you can get the hell out of dodge before it goes off. Most pilot i have known that got murdered by the doomsday did so because they made a very simple mistake. Rarely do good, well commanded fleets blunder into enemy territory without knowing if that enemy has titan pilots. As it is, tanking against a doomsday can be done very easily be warping off and sacking those that cant. Remember that the titan is very vulnerable after firing off its doomsday.
As for the the Jump Bridge. I fail to see why that is broken in any way. It is not very long ranged compared to the traveling distances of carriers and dreadnoughts. And the most I have ever seen it used for is logistical means. As in they are good for securing a safe travel lane for freighters and the like. I have seen them used a few times in tactical situations. Like hot dropping a fleet onto an enemy fleet. The success rate is about 50%. If the sub cap fleet manages to jenuinely surprise the enemy, then it has a good chance of winning. But most of the time the enemy goes "Ohh a cyno ship... KILL IT" and it scatters the enemy all over the system. Then you have battleships and other ships coming in in a steady stream rather then in formation.
As for Titans in low sec being invulnerable? I would really like to know how that is possible. In fact no Titan pilot in their right mind should ever be flying in low sec. Titans lose their main offensive capability, their doomsday, while in low sec. So unless your HIC pilot orbits at kitchen sink throwing range then he will make sure that that titan will not go anywhere for the rest of its life. And before you ask, yes a titan has been lost in low sec. I can think of at least one, that being Shrike's Avatar in Obe.

Irrelevant. Titans do need a nerf, but they should not be nerfed into uselessness, and it's the DD rather then the bridge that is the issue.

Sir, you must be joking or own a titan BPO. Seriously.....how many titan's even operate solo anymore (talking about the mega alliances now). This game is TOTALLY out of control, because CCP has failed to check this behemoth. I started a post some time ago, that has received quite a few interesting responses, concerning this ship. CCP acknowledged there are problems, but as of yet....nothing has been done.
A large part of this game has been ruined and several players have now shut down their accounts. There is a definate change in attitude, because of this ship. I am hopeful it gets corrected soon.
