I'm curious if thats a typo or you live somewhere that doesn't use '.' for decimal place.
Not being a grammar ****, just trying to find reasons not to stress over numbers being represented in an insanely uncommon (to me) fashion.
I know some people go CRAZY with decimal points and put them everywhere.
123.456.678.90
I just look at them blankly waiting for an explanation that is a bit more than "Its how I write numbers".
So far, only one person had a satisfactory answer. They were French.

Most Continental European Countries use that format, while most English Speaking Countries use the one you know :D

Honest question here- Quote from the steam store page for EVE:
Quote: Monthly subscription fee required after first month. Product keys will not work with existing EVE Online accounts.
So, how is it that you apply the key purchased via Steam to the buddied account to potentially get the 30 free days on the account you used to buddy with? Is the buddied account not consider an existing account after it has been created by starting from the emailed referral link from your main?
I might be unaware of something about the process here or simply misread what you typed, so any info is appreciated.

That's exactly the point.
People who dares pressing a bitly link are bat**** crazy. You have virtually no idea what is behind the link.
It goes against the very first thing you learn when you get onto the internet: Don't click stuff you have no idea what is.
What is even more hilarious is the fact that all these twitter people, who seem to think that they are the "elite", are the ones who use it the most

is quite logic because twitter only allow you 140 characters and a long link eat to many characters

Why? I see no problem with this. It's an opportunity to save money for those of us who's not swimming in it. Manipulating with CCP's own system without doing anything illegal. I buy their product, that's what they want. Now let me use the product, like I want.

Yes you can extend 30-Day Steam Promotion for $4.99 to your Trial Account. It will redirect you to the EVE Online page after purchasing the game where you can select to apply this promotion to EXISTING ACCOUNT or NEW ACCOUNT.
Your main account also gets 30-day free game time if you have sent an invitation to your alt.

Yeah just for the 1st month, after that regular price. It's almost 2 months.... (21-day Trial + 30 Days for $4.99 from Steam)

I can confirm that. Your account is still considered "Trial" ... with 51 days

Thanks for your earlier post and info. But in this case... so it means the alt account with the key applied is still under a trial type limitation? (Eg; You cannot train certain skills and unable to post/accept contracts?)

So yes as pointed out the Steam method cannot be used for the buddy program, i'm assuming mainly because CCP already knew steam would do some sort of ******ly cheap offer like they do on many other things to get the sales, which from a business point makes sense for CCP to stick a "not to be used in conjunction with any other offer" type of sticker on it :P

Hmm am I the only one who doesn't consider this to be spectacular in any sense?
What's so great about the offer?
You still have to pay a subscription on a second account, something that if you can afford it and want it, you will do anyway.
So how does this entice me or anyone else to rush off and 'save' ú7 or so on a new reg?
Getting all wet in the pants over pifling amounts of money ..
